Another defensive headache for Unai Emery as Matty Cash comes off to be replaced by John McGinn.
Villa are already down to one fit centre-back in Ezri Konsa and it appears Lamare Bogarde has gone to right-back while Boubacar Kamara drops from midfield into the centre of defence alongside Konsa.
Brest 0-1 Real Madrid
Brest held firm for over half an hour but it's hard to keep a team with this level of talent at bay. Rodyrgo picked the ball up outside the box, danced past a couple of Brest players and finished beautifully into the far bottom corner. Stunning stuff. Rodrygo's ninth goal in his last 10 games.
Real are level on points with Atalanta in eighth as things stand.

Bayer Leverkusen take the lead and move up into the top eight.
Seconds after having a penalty call in their favour overturned by VAR, Xabi Alonso's side attack again and Florian Wirtz slots in a cut-back.
Leverkusen go up to sixth. Borussia Dortmund drop down to ninth as things stand.
Stuttgart 0-2 PSG
PSG go incredibly close to adding a third as Desire Doue's first-time strike at the back post is stopped on the line by Fabian Bredlow, who is then fouled as Doue tries to force the ball over the line.

RE: Max. I've been saying as much the entire season. This new CL format is generating frankly ludicrous sums of money from false entertainment. There is no jeopardy in play. It's all a nonsense - until we get to Last 16. Then it's back on track - funnily enough when the old format is restored...
