  1. 'Opportunity not taken'published at 21:29 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

    Aston Villa 3-2 Celtic

    Chris Sutton
Former Celtic and Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

He can't believe it, Ollie Watkins. He will feel that embarrassment - I have done it myself.

Well over the crossbar and still hope for Celtic. What an opportunity for Aston Villa, not taken.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:29 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

    Man City 2-1 Club Brugge

    The visitors make three changes.

Off: Chemsdine Talbi, Ferran Jutgla and Christos Tzolis.

On: Michal Skoras, Romeo Vermant and Hugo Vetlesen.

  3. Postpublished at 21:28 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

    Barcelona 1-1 Atalanta

    Stunning goal!

Ederson produces quick feet on the edge of the box before threading a neat shot in at the near post to equalise for Atalanta.

His first-ever goal in the Champions League and it could prove a big one.

  4. Postpublished at 21:28 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

    Brest 0-2 Real Madrid

Brest are struggling to breach this Real Madrid defence with Thibaut Courtois pulling off some wonderful saves.

Real remain 12th with results going against them elsewhere.

  5. MISSED PENALTY - Ollie Watkinspublished at 21:28 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

    Aston Villa 3-2 Celtic

    Whaaaaaat?!

Ollie Watkins slips as he takes the penalty and hits the ball with his right foot... with the ball hitting his left leg and flying miles over the bar.

  6. City set to face Madrid or AC Milanpublished at 21:28 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

  7. Postpublished at 21:27 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

    Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 Sparta Prague

That'll do for Bayer Leverkusen. Nathan Tella pokes in a rebound and Xabi Alonso's side have one foot in the last 16.

  8. Postpublished at 21:27 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

    Aston Villa 3-2 Celtic

John McGinn stands with the ball - and then throws it to Ollie Watkins last second.

  9. Postpublished at 21:27 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

    Aston Villa 3-2 Celtic

No reprieve for Celtic as the referee points to the spot.

  10. Postpublished at 21:27 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

    Aston Villa 3-2 Celtic

    Chris Sutton
Former Celtic and Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

It is really slick from Leon Bailey. Quick off the right side and then a great ball into Watkins.

Watkins gets his body in as all good strikers do, and I think the award of a penalty is right.

  11. Postpublished at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

    PSV Eindhoven 3-2 Liverpool

Not quite the goals fest we were treated to in the first half in this second period in Eindhoven.

Federico Chiesa can't get an effort on target but that's about as much action as we've seen in this second half so far.

  12. Postpublished at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

    Aston Villa 3-2 Celtic

Auston Trusty insists he won the ball. Replays show he did get the ball - and caught Ollie Watkins too. Could go either way this if VAR checking.

  13. PENALTY TO VILLApublished at 21:25 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

    Aston Villa 3-2 Celtic

Ollie Watkins goes down. Auston Trusty is deemed to have fouled him. Penalty.

  14. Postpublished at 21:25 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

    Barcelona 1-0 Atalanta

Atalanta were hanging on to a top eight place despite losing but results elsewhere mean they have dropped into the play-off places.

They need to win now but it is Barcelona looking the most likely to score again with Robert Lewandowski not far off.

  15. Postpublished at 21:25 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

    Aston Villa 3-2 Celtic

It should be 4-2. Kasper Schmeichel passes the ball straight to John McGinn. The captain picks out Ollie Watkins whose shot is excellently saved by the Dane.

  16. Postpublished at 21:25 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

    Man City 2-1 Club Brugge

Manchester City have slowed things down somewhat since going ahead. They need to be careful, though.

    PSG, Feyenoord. Just saying.

  17. Postpublished at 21:24 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

Red Bull Salzburg 0-4 Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid have a fourth through midfielder Marcos Llorente.

Diego Simeone's side are fifth as things stand.

  18. AC Milan behind againpublished at 21:24 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

    Dinamo Zagreb 2-1 AC Milan

The 10 men of AC Milan weren't level for long as Marko Pjaca hammers home a brilliant left-footed finish.

Milan drop down to 12th for the moment but it's always changing!

  19. 'Villa back where they wanted to be'published at 21:23 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

    Aston Villa 3-2 Celtic

    Chris Sutton
Former Celtic and Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

First of all, Morgan Rogers was deep in his own half and then John McGinn looked second best for it and somehow got there.

Ramsey had the composure to find Watkins and he stroked the ball into the net. Villa back where they wanted to be.

  20. Postpublished at 21:23 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

    Aston Villa 3-2 Celtic

Neither Morgan Rogers nor Ollie Watkins had ever scored a Champions League goal before today.

England boss Thomas Tuchel is at this game - so a good time to score for both.
