Those Aberdeen fans who were in full voice in the early part of the first half have gone quiet. They appear to be in disbelief at how their team has collapsed. Not only today but in the past few months.

They now have a mountain to climb if they want to find a route back into this game as Hibernian look so confident whenever they are on the ball.

It looks like Dons manager Jimmy Thelin is turning to the bench.

  12. goal

GOAL Hibernian 2-0 Aberdeenpublished at 16:10 Greenwich Mean Time

    Nicky Cadden

There was a VAR check - but it's given and the Dons are in real trouble now.

The masked man Nicky Cadden heads in at the back post but it's swiftly chopped off for an offside, but after a lengthy check it's awarded.

Dwight Gayle flicked on a cross at the front post and the check confirms he was just onside.

Ross Doohan got a hand to it but could only palm it backwards and off the underside of the bar.

  14. Double change for Dundeepublished at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time

Dundee boss Tony Docherty shows his displeasure at his side's first-half showing, opting to make two changes at the interval.

Forward Seb Palmer-Houlden and midfielder Finlay Robertson are on. League debutant Imari Samuels and loanee Cesar Garza make way.

The Hearts team were out waiting for the second half to start pretty promptly.

The Dundee team were a bit later coming out.

I suspect manager Tony Docherty has had plenty to say during the interval.

    HT: Hibernian 1-0 Aberdeen

    Brian McLauchlin

The goal has certainly settled Hibs down and given the home fans some relief as, prior to the Nectarios Triantis header, there had been very little in the game.

Jimmy Thelin has Duk and former Hibs striker Kevin Nisbet to call upon from the bench and, unless there is a major upturn in the second period of the game, it may not be too long before changes are made.

The big travelling support at Dens Park are delighted with what they have seen in this first half.

They have really been entertained. Their side are deservedly ahead and they have been treated to two goals that were both from the top drawer.

It looks like a long way back for Dundee, who will have to be a whole lot better in the second half.
