  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 77 mins

    Notts County 0-0 Crewe

Notts forward Charlie Whitaker says his farewells as he makes room for Curtis Edwards.

  2. Postpublished at 75 mins

    Notts County 0-0 Crewe

Notts County are itching for that goal.

Matt Palmer lets off a straight shot at goal but it's no trouble for the Crewe keeper.

The ball then finds itself at the other end and it's the Notts keeper who has to get called to action as he gets an important touch on a sharp cross into the six yard box.

  3. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 73 mins

    Notts County 0-0 Crewe

    Not another.

Mickey Demetriou barges into the back of Jacob Bedeau and the Notts defender is asking for a penalty.

Like his teammates previously, he doesn't get one.

Not much in that though, would have been bizarre to see that one given after seeing much stronger shouts ignored.

As a Bromley fan whose made the trip up to Carlisle today, Crewe and Colchester losing and a Bromley win would be perfect. Thing with that penalty shout is if there’s VAR it’s a penalty. I’d want it if it was Bromley.

  5. 'Bogle can get in behind Notts defence'published at 13:57 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    Notts County 0-0 Crewe

    Peter Morse
Crewe summariser on BBC Radio Stoke

Kane Hemmings has had a really good second half. He's battled away.

Omar Bogle is quicker than their centre-halves and if we can get the timing right he can get in behind.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 70 mins

    Notts County 0-0 Crewe

Kane Hemmings heads to the bench as Crewe bring on Omar Bogle for fresh legs.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 65 mins

    Notts County 0-0 Crewe

Kellan Gordon and Conor Grant make way for Notts County.

Mai Traore is introduced, picking up some minutes after returning injury, alongside Nick Tsaroulla.

While Crewe withdraw Matus Holicek and the lucky Ryan Cooney.

Max Sanders and Chris Long join the fray.

  8. 'Notts have been better'published at 13:50 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    Notts County 0-0 Crewe

    Mark Stallard
Former Notts County striker on BBC Radio Nottingham

Notts County have been better, particularly in the past 10 minutes.

You can see more tempo, playing in little triangles in the middle of the pitch and trying to force a mistake.

For the penalty shout - the defender gets his arm across Jarvis and it's a good shout for a penalty and Notts might feel a bit of injustice.

I wouldn't say both shouts were stonewall but on closer inspection they could have been given.

  9. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 59 mins

    Notts County 0-0 Crewe

The appeals are just not going into Notts County's favour.

Will Jarvis is driving into the box but Crewe's Ryan Cooney elbows the Notts man down.

The referee waves away the complaints and Javis can't believe it. Another penalty appeal fell by the wayside.

  10. 'Jarvis is posing a real threat'published at 13:46 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    Notts County 0-0 Crewe

    Peter Morse
Crewe summariser on BBC Radio Stoke

Will Jarvis who was very quiet in the first half is posing a real threat for Notts County.

Crewe have got to be a little bit more reliable in the build-up.

I think they'll want the pace of Chris Long on.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 54 mins

    Notts County 0-0 Crewe

Notts' Will Jarvis smashes a threatening shot towards goal with plenty of pace but finds himself beat.

Notts keeper Filip Marschall is forced into a vital save, parrying it away from home shirts and earning his teammates gratitude.

  12. 'A good spell for Notts'published at 13:42 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    Notts County 0-0 Crewe

    Mark Stallard
Former Notts County striker on BBC Radio Nottingham

It's been a good five minute spell for Notts, certainly the best of the game.

  13. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Notts County 0-0 Crewe

Notts have turned up for this second half.

They mount a double of shots, Charlie Whitaker's blocked by a defenders boot before the follow up finds the Crewe keeper.

The momentum is definitely rising though.

Can the hosts find an opener?

  14. 'Crewe got away with one there'published at 13:40 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    Notts County 0-0 Crewe

    Peter Morse
Crewe summariser on BBC Radio Stoke

Ryan Cooney has had a moment there, he shakes his head and he's relieved.

Uncharacteristic from David McGoldrick. We've got away with one there.

County are pressing high and sensing a chance. Crewe have got to spot the danger when the County press is on top.

  15. Postpublished at 51 mins

    Notts County 0-0 Crewe

    Chance!

The ball is threaded triangularly before finding David McGoldrick in the box.

There's two Crewe men either side of him but only the keeper in front.

He rips off a shot but it's poor, flying way off target.

McGoldrick smacks his hands in frustration, he knows he should have done better.

  16. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Notts County 0-0 Crewe

There's been very little time for the supporters to get settled into their seats.

Notts County earn themselves a free kick and it bounces around the box.

David McGoldrick manages to keep it from going out with a nice little flick on the edge of the pitch but there's no black shirt to pick it up and Crewe are finally able clear before launching their own counter.

The attack doesn't go anywhere but with Notts looking to apply the squeeze early, it's enough just to see it out of their own final third.

  17. SECOND HALFpublished at 13:32 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    Notts County 0-0 Crewe

Right then, we've already had a smidge of drama in the first half.

Will we see more in the second?

The action at Meadow Lane restarts now.

  18. Was it a penalty?published at 13:28 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

It looks like there's some mixed opinions when it comes to the penalty shout towards the end of the half.

It was a threatening move from Charlie Whitaker but was he looking for the penalty having seen the keeper come off his line?

Does it even matter - it looks like Crewe stopper Filip Marschall made contact with his leg?

We asked you to give your opinion on the thumbs and it's currently 66 to 46 in favour of thinking it should have been a spot kick.

  19. 'Hearts in mouths'published at 13:26 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    HT: Notts County 0-0 Crewe

    Peter Morse
Crewe summariser on BBC Radio Stoke

It was hearts in mouths for Alex fans for the penalty appeal but fortunately the referee saw it differently and felt Charlie Whitaker made the most of the situation.

David McGoldrick could be the one who might find the space to open it up. But as it stands not much to write about.

  20. 'Both teams look devoid of ideas'published at 13:25 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

    HT: Notts County 0-0 Crewe

    Mark Stallard
Former Notts County striker on BBC Radio Nottingham

    That was pretty ordinary.

Both teams look devoid of ideas and inspiration.

It didn't look like a penalty but on closer inspection there was contact but enough for a penalty, I'm not sure.

It looks like a 0-0, it feels like a 0-0 and it indeed 0-0.
