Chris: In response to Erl, which Arsenal and Utd have you been watching this season to think Arsenal are going to drop points at Old Trafford? Surely not the same Arsenal setting records away from home with clean sheets and a Utd team conceding 5 goals to Coventry and Sheffield Utd?

Confident play from Brighton, building up from the back as you expect. I thought Kyle Walker should have done better reading that. I think he was surprised with how strong Joao Pedro was.

A very Bright(on) start from the hosts. Joao Pedro runs down the middle of the pitch. Danny Welbeck makes a run in front of him but there are too many City players in the way. He eventually plays it out right to Joel Veltman, who loses the ball.

It was a half-chance. Nothing more but he took it well and it was heading for the corner.

Encouraging for Brighton. It looks like they're going man-for-man, leaving Alvarez one-on-one with Dunk. That could create some gaps.

First chance of the game lands to Brighton striker Danny Welbeck but the ex-Arsenal man's snap-shot from the edge of the box is saved by the returning Ederson.

Julian Alvarez, who has only scored once in his last 16 games for City, gets into the Brighton box but can't find a team-mate.

We are under way.

Erl: City can definitely retain the trophy as it is in their own hands. But Arsenal do have a sort of advantage with the points in the bag and a better GD. City need to go about about as business as usual otherwise desperation can cost them. Arsenal will, though, drop points, possibly against both Spurs and United.

Andy: City narrowly beat Chelsea who were all over them but were fortunate because of Chelsea’s poor finishing. They lost at home to Real who weren’t all over them and missed out on the treble. I wonder if we’ll have any more twists?!

When I look at City and Arsenal, when they come to this back end of the season, certain players play every single game and they nail down places.

Brighton coach and former midfielder Gary Dicker has praised manager Roberto de Zerbi and "the energy he brings" to the club.

Speaking to BBC Radio Sussex's Albion Unlimited podcast, Dicker, who is a professional development coach with the Seagulls' under-21s side said: "You wouldn't be the brightest if you didn't take some stuff from people and we've learned loads. I'm greedy because you want more and more.

"You want to learn more and see how he can keep developing the team and the players and the style of play. The detail that he's come with and his ideas are better than any coaching course I've been on.

"I've learned that being on the grass and watching means I've tried to take in as much as I can. When we get a chance, can we watch training? You'll always see us out there when we're not training to watch and learn."

Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi speaking to Sky Sports: "We have to play well and we have to make points because we are fighting to reach another season in Europe. It is not finished yet for us.

"Pep Guardiola is the best coach and it is very tough playing against City and Pep. We are proud and we know what we need to do play [against them].

"It is a very tough season, very tough part of the season. From January to now it has been difficult to choose the first XI and the first XI I put on the pitch I think has enough to fight for us, for our fans and for our club."

Manchester City are unbeaten in 29 games in all competitions (excluding penalties).

Their 17-game unbeaten run in the league is their best within the same Premier League season since November 2020 to March 2021.

Manchester City's Phil Foden has scored more Premier League goals against Brighton than against any other side, netting six in his past seven.

Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez says they will be treating their remaining six Premier League games as cup finals.

"We have the opportunity to be champions again. We can get two more trophies and we are excited to play,” said the Argentine.

"It was a difficult week because we lost in the Champions League, but then we wanted to reach the final of the FA Cup as we had the semi-final to play.

"If we are able to execute our game plan, then we can win every game and it depends on us if we want to be champions.

"We have to be strong because we can’t lose. We have to win every game if we want to be champions.

"You have to be there working hard, being humble and play to win.

“Every single game is a final and we have to play like a final if we want to be champions. It is very important for us."

They last lost consecutive home league games in 2022.
