It's like chalk and cheese from the first-half. Coventry are a lot better in this second period.

Hull were so impressive in the opening 45 minutes and much of their best work involved Jaden Philogene. You just wonder if the early knock he took after the turnaround has put him off his stride a bit.

Either that or Coventry are simply not ready for their season to end...

Hull make a change.

Matty Jacob is replaced by Ryan Giles for the visitors. More fresh legs on a pitch where they are probably at a premium by now.

Some errors creeping in, perhaps understandably given the stakes.

Hull's Alfie Jones coughs up possession with a sloppy ball out of defence but Kasey Palmer, he of the sublime goal less than an hour ago, is unable to take advantage with a finish which was as poor as his goal was good.

Moments later Jones gets a caution for a cynical haul on Palmer's shirt.

Luis Binks can't continue and is replaced in defence by Liam Kitching, who started on Sunday.

Coventry's Luis Binks is down on the turf and will get some treatment. Jaden Philogene of Hull has already been down for a couple of minutes in this second half so I'd expect some injury time to be added later - though perhaps not quite as much as Coventry endured on Sunday evening.

I said Hull deserved to be in front at half-time, Coventry deserved that equaliser in this second period. I think they will go and win this with these players on.

Haji Wright and Ellis Simms have already made a difference for Coventry down the left and through the middle. With 35 league goals between them, perhaps that should not come as a surprise.

The crowd are riled up still. They are surely fuelled by emotion in these past three days.

It's how Hull can physically deal with Ellis Simms and Haji Wright. Coventry have started on the front foot and Wright is looking sharp.

Still no sign of Liam Rosenior in the Hull dugout tonight, though he has been spotted in the ground several times this evening.

BBC Radio Humberside think he is in the stand - not sure he has a ban that we are aware of. We'll endeavour to find out why he's in the stands and not on the touchline and let you know.

Abdulkadir Omur in the last two or three games he's been getting better and better.

He's covered every blade of grass. He brings so much positivity and he is just one of those people who looks like they love playing football.

If we had VAR, I'm sure that penalty would have been a free-kick on the edge. It's just not going Coventry's way currently.

It's early days in this second period but with Ellis Simms and Haji Wright, Coventry look a lot more physical. They've got to start taking the fight to Hull in this second-half and I'm sure they will with those two on the pitch.

Ellis Simms and Haji Wright are on for the Sky Blues at the break... Matty Godden and Jake Bidwell are the ones to make way.

Well for half an hour, this game was going nowhere. But, from the moment Brad Collins allowed Jaden Philogene's shot to squirm under his body for Hull's opener, it has all rather kicked off.

Kasey Palmer took just five minutes to put it right, with that stunning right-foot free kick into the top left corner - the Sky Blues' first shot on target.

But then came the Tigers penalty. And Carvalho's successful spotkick triggered an ugly end to the half.

Maybe the Hull celebrations were deemed to be a little too much but it led to the sight of 21 players all coming together to discuss it. And the wafting of Mr Doughty's yellow card four times!

It was all packed into the final 15 minutes - but this game has really got going now!

It's been a great first-half performance. You were hoping they were going to turn up like that, start on the front foot and they did. Fantastic free kick from Kasey Palmer but in general there's been great things from Hull.

Liam Delap, since he's come back, he looks fit, he looks strong. I think Hull will only get stronger as the game goes on.

Phew. I think we all need a 15-minute breather after that first-half.

Jaden Philogene's effort squirmed past Coventry keeper Brad Collins at his near post to put Hull ahead, but after Kasey Palmer's pearler had drawn the Sky Blues level, Fabio Carvalho stepped-up to convert from the spot in the dying seconds of the first half to give the visitors a lead they probably deserve at the break.

Josh Eccles and Ben Sheaf for Coventry and Jaden Philogene and Fabio Carvalho of Hull are into the book after an ugly melee in the aftermath of the visitor's penalty, before the ball had even got back to the centre spot. Sparked by something in the Tigers celebration, it would appear. It's certainly raised the temperature significantly.

This game has a bit of everything...
