Ipswich Town winger Omari Hutchinson speaking to Sky Sports:

"A really tough game. Hull are a very good side, they've got very good technical players. We knew what it was going to be like coming here and we gave our best.

"We've got two more games left. It's more than enough. We thought we did really well, we fought really hard. All we can do is focus on one game at a time.

"We've done so well so far this season. We are trying our best and working hard. We are ready to go.

"It was unfortunate not to get the fourth goal in the end but we just have to keep going."

This is how we stand at the end of another madcap day in the second tier.

Leicester City are up and will win the league with a win at Preston on Monday.

Ipswich missed the chance to go second but their game in hand means one win and one draw from their final two games will see them join the Foxes in the Premier League.

The Tractor Boys visit Coventry in midweek, where the home team will no doubt be backed from afar by a huge number of Leeds fans desperate for a favour.

Norwich drew with Swansea and, realistically, goal difference means they're guaranteed a play-off spot now.

Ailing West Brom were battered 3-0 at Sheffield Wednesday to leave the door open for Hull to gatecrash the top six on the final day if they can beat Plymouth and the Baggies lose to Preston.

Stavros Makro: I wouldn't copmpletely write off Hull's chances,because Preston are traditionally a team with one of the best work-rates and have that fighting mentality in them (they need Preston to win at West Bromwich Albion).

Nick, team not in the play-offs: Two of my best mates are respectively Ipswich and Norwich fans. I suspect emotions are ... mixed right now.

Lots to play for on the final day, including that second promotion spot...

"We fought, it was a tough game. Ipswich were fresh. If I was a neutral, I'd love to watch this game from home.

"We are happy to keep going, happy to contribute and you can see it's a team game. We've done it together.

"I've got the trust of all the boys and the manager and the last two games have been good for me. It's just to keep going and I hope to have the same impact - but the team are more important.

"We can do it. With our team, with the staff, with the support. We can do it."

Late-season jitters?

A great game of football. I thought Ipswich should have won it in the last couple of minutes but all credit to Hull. They did really well coming back into the game.

There was a lot of pressure out there today and Ipswich didn't show it. That last two minutes, how they did not score? I was lost for words.

But it's still in Ipswich's hands.

It's a crazy game. The fans love it, they are on the edge of their seats. Ryan Allsop has been outstanding today. That defending shows how much it means to the Hull players.

HOW HAS IT NOT GONE IN FOR IPSWICH?!

I don't even know how to explain it all.

Omari Hutchinson bursts through and Ryan Allsop denies him his hat-trick and then Jeremy Sarmiento is denied on the line by a Hull defender and then somehow it is cleared to the edge of the area but Town have a free-kick.

If this stays as it is then Ipswich will still need four points from their final two games to be sure of promotion.

Play-off hopefuls Hull will HAVE to win their final game of the season at lowly Plymouth and hope other things go their way.

A draw is actually fine for both of these teams but you wouldn't know it.

It's a bit of sucker-punch for Ipswich. It's just one of those ones, it's a tap in.

Alex from Cottingham: Much as I’m enjoying Hull’s late charge, another year in the Championship would benefit them because we need to see if they can sign high-quality players like Delap and Morton as they would be needed in the Premier League.

Either way, Alex, it feels like it's been a season of real progress at the MKM Stadium.

What have Hull got in these final five minutes?
