Wolves have won two of their last three Premier League games against Tottenham (L1), as many as they had in their previous 11. They’re looking to win back-to-back meetings with Spurs for the first time since February 2010.
50% of the 18 Premier League meetings between Wolves and Tottenham have been won by the away side (9) – of all fixtures to have been played as many times, only Leicester vs Man City (54%) has been won by the away team more often.
Wolves won this exact fixture last season but haven’t won consecutive league games against Spurs at Molineux since December 1968.
Wolves have scored at least once in each of their last 10 Premier League games, though they’ve only kept one clean sheet in their last 14. Indeed, both teams have scored in each of Wolves’ last eight Premier League matches.
Tottenham are unbeaten in their last seven Premier League away games (W5 D2) and are looking to win three in a row on the road for the first time since November 2020 (a run of four).
Wolves have won just one of their last six Premier League home games (D3 L2), though that one victory was against reigning champions and (at the time) league leaders Manchester City in September.
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou suffered his first Premier League defeat last time out in his 11th game in the competition (W8 D2), with only Maurizio Sarri (12 games) and Frank Clark (11 games) having longer unbeaten starts. He hasn’t lost consecutive league games as a manager since between November 2020 and February 2021 with Yokohama F. Marinos in the Japanese J1 League (three in a row).
Spurs ended their 4-1 defeat against Chelsea with just four players who had started the game still on the field of play (Vicario, Son, Porro, Bissouma). It’s the joint fewest players in a starting XI to complete 90 minutes in a Premier League match, along with Crystal Palace vs Fulham in December 2022 (Guaita, Zaha, Andersen, Ayew).
Wolves’ Hwang Hee-Chan has been involved in eight Premier League goals this season (6 goals, 2 assists), his best return in a single campaign in the competition. He’s either scored or assisted in each of his last five Premier League games, with only Henri Camara having a longer such run for Wolves in the competition (7 between March and May 2004).
In their 4-1 defeat to Chelsea, Spurs received two red cards in a Premier League game for only the fourth time, and first time ever in a home game. In the competition this season, only Wolves (38) and Chelsea (36) have picked up more cards than Spurs (34 – 31 yellows, 3 reds).
