Marcelino Nunez joined Ipswich this summer after three years at East Anglian rivals Norwich City
Marcelino Nunez scored his first Ipswich Town goals from two free-kicks as they thrashed Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.
It was a comprehensive performance from the Tractor Boys, who took an early lead through George Hirst, in also claiming a double, and didn't really look back.
QPR did go in at half-time level thanks to Rumarn Burrell but were outclassed in the second half.
Ipswich move up to ninth in the Championship, while QPR sit 13th.
Hirst's first goal came inside two minutes. Sindre Walle Egeli beat Esquerdinha to the byline on the right flank and clipped the ball across for the striker to head home inside the six-yard box.
But Rangers hit back 18 minutes later as Ilias Chair was afforded space to drive forward before unleashing a low shot which Christian Walton parried into Burrell's path and he applied the finish.
Ipswich began to assert themselves again before half-time, and Jaden Philogene squandered a good chance, volleying over after a corner was poorly cleared. He then cut inside and shot straight at Paul Nardi.
Richard Kone forced Walton into action after he robbed Dara O'Shea and shot low across goal from the left hand corner of the box.
The second half begun like the first, with a quickfire Ipswich goal. Nunez bent a wonderful free-kick into the top right corner, with Nardi potentially at fault due to the ball going in on his side, with the wall protecting the other.
Hirst cemented the visitors' lead on 55 minutes, heading Darnell Furlong's cross in at the back post.
Jimmy Dunne headed over almost instantly as the Rs looked to respond, but the game became stretched as Nunez tested Nardi from distance at the other end.
Just the past the hour mark, Nunez added his second from a free-kick in an almost identical position. It deflected off the wall and wrapped up a big win for Ipswich.

Ipswich have won two successive games in the Championship
'We got what we deserved' - Stephan
QPR manager Julian Stephan speaking to BBC Radio London: "It is a disappointing result but we have the reasons we deserved. For 60 minutes it wasn't bad and the first half was good.
"After we conceded the first goal we had a great reaction. But we conceded the second too early. To concede two goals like this after one minute [in each half] is too much against a very good team with very good players.
"The third goal killed us mentally and it was difficult in the last 25 minutes but I need to think about the first 60 minutes, we stuck to the gameplan.
"We need to focus on the next game and that will come quickly and that is Southampton at home.
"I will be honest with the players in terms of analysis, showing them the good things in the first half and the big mistakes today. It is a question of learning."
Kieran McKenna post QPR (A)
Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna speaking to BBC Radio Suffolk: "A good win for us, two brilliant team goals and two brilliant individual goals at a big moment. Good experience for the team to go through.
"We had a good start and probably didn't build on it enough. But we stuck in and we knew we could build in the second half. Once we got the goals we played some really good stuff.
"Marcelino is a really good set-piece taker. He practices a lot as much as I've seen anyone practice so he deserves his rewards.
"The subs came on with good energy, we defended well and look a threat."
