Wrexham have approached Christian Eriksen in the most ambitious move yet by the club under Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac.

The 33-year-old midfielder is without a club after his contract with Manchester United expired at the end of the 2024-25 season.

And Wrexham are keen to add the 144-cap Denmark international's experience as they prepare to return to the second tier of English football for the first time in 44 years.

Eriksen's agent Martin Schoots told the Daily Mail that Wrexham was a "hugely impressive project" but added: "Christian still wants to play in a first-tier competition and he absolutely wants to stay in Western Europe."

This Gyokeres saga is killing me. I feel like a passenger who’s flight has been cancelled and I’m getting no updates. Why is this taking so long? Cmon Arsenal, hurry up and quickly iron out the kinks and put this to bed. It’s taking too long.

  6. 'It would upset our tight-knit group' - Burnpublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 25 July

Defender Dan Burn has been asked about the speculation around Alexander Isak.

He told Sky Sports: "I think if we lost any player it would upset our tight-knit group that has been together for two or three years.

"Obviously, I think any player that leaves doesn’t help, but from our point of view we can only control what we can control at the moment.

“I’m looking forward to getting Alex back when he’s fit.”

I've got a real soft spot for Andy Carroll, who signed for Dagenham and Redbridge on a three-year deal this summer.

The 36-year-old's just desperate to play football. Doesn't care about the level.

Would love to see more ex-England internationals in the sixth tier.

If Brentford lose Wissa as well, I think they're getting relegated. They've already lost they're captain, star player and manager and appointing Keith Andrews over a really competent manager in Frank feels like a REAL step back.

To be fair to Fulham, they haven't lost any of their key players. They still have the likes of Iwobi, Wilson, Smith-Rowe, Traore, and Robinson. With that squad they should be able to fend of a relegation battle.
