  1. Schade 'is on fire'published at 17:34 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    West Ham 0-1 Brentford

    Brentford

Brentford forward Yoanne Wissa, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “We scored one more than them so of course we deserved it. We were flying in the first half and could have scored more goals. After that in the second half they reacted and we had to defend well.

"We have scored a lot of goals this year because they can come from anywhere. The first [disallowed] goal was a bit unlucky because I was reaching but the second we did not see Kristoffer Ajer coming back. We want to make games hard and go for the kill every game."

On Kevin Schade: "We are definitely happy with him. He has good pace, he loves to score but the first year is always hard. Now he knows how to play. He is on fire now, so we need to aim high."

  2. 'Tried hard until the end'published at 17:33 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    FT: Fulham 2-1 Nott'm Forest

    Nottingham Forest

Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo, speaking to BBC Match Of The Day: "It was a competitive game. We tried to the end but it was not possible [to equalise again]. They played good and won the game so we have to learn and go again.

"Chris Wood made his goal by himself, and that gave us hope for the second half. I think we started the second half well but a couple of set-pieces put us down. Then it was about reacting and the boys tried hard until the end. Now we have to go to the next one. Of course this is the time of the season when we have to go stronger."

  3. 'A great Premier League debut for Palmer'published at 17:33 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    FT: Aston Villa 1-1 Ipswich

    Ipswich Town

Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna speaking to BBC MOTD on whether he sees the draw against Aston Villa as a good point: "Yes, against a really good side, away from home and especially with the circumstances of the game. To go down to 10 men and perform how we did. We would have loved to win, but it took an incredible free kick and the ball to ricochet right to their player to hold us to a draw. A great squad effort."

On Axel Tuanzebe's red card: "I think the first one is not a yellow. Anyone can make a mistake but it's more how quickly it comes out, it's waiting for us to make a foul to give the yellow. Honestly, Omari Hutchinson has had that foul against him - even if it was a foul - so many times this season. That was a decision against a smaller team away from home. It really effects it because you know if you are booking a full-back away form home you have to be right."

On Liam Delap: "He is learning. Him and Omari Hutchinson at the front of the pitch showed real maturity in how they handled the situation with 10 men, how they suffered and then you rely on them to come up with a bit of quality. Real growth from them two."

Alex Palmer: "A great Premier League debut for him. He's happy, the boys are happy and the supports are happy.

"He showed he can make the step up and you look at the quality coming off their bench, so for the whole team to defend as they did. There were some big saves."

On mentality: "The group is going to fight to the last breath. There's no doubt about that. The group are together, I think we are improving. The mentality of the group is really strong and I'm sure that is only going to grow."

  4. 'We gave everything but it wasn't enough'published at 17:33 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    FT: Southampton 1-3 Bournemouth

    Southampton

Southampton manager Ivan Juric speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "They were much better first half, second half we did better. but it wasn't enough to take a point.

"The first goal we were two-v-one in the area and then we play and create and I think in the first half they were much better than us.

"When you are bottom of the table you have a lot of problems and this is one of them. Today they gave everything but it was not enough.

"We have good spirit and we scored the goal and created opportunities and played like I want my team to play, with lots of aggression and winning the duels and flair but it wasn't enough.

"It is not just mentality. It is everything. We are missing a little bit of everything. We have to believe and try to play more like the second half and we will see."

    Ipswich Town

Alex Palmer (L) speaks with referee Robert JonesImage source, Getty Images

Ipswich goalkeeper Alex Palmer on making his Premier League debut: "I've waited a while for it, I've put the work in. I just want to say Ipswich for giving me the chance to do it.

On his save at the end: "It's one of those where it's just instinct and you get a bit lucky with the way it falls but that's what we train for and I am glad I was ready for it.

On what was key: "Togetherness, coming here we knew we were going to suffer. With that sending off in the first half it made it that much tougher. We can come away and say that is a point earned and gained and we can be happy with the performance."

On whether this result gives Ipswich hope: "That's what we need. the lads are putting absolutely everything into it . As a club we want to stay up, the fans want to stay up and we want to thank them for their support and grind out results."

  8. 'We need to keep this level of performance'published at 17:27 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    FT: Southampton 1-3 Bournemouth

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola speaking to Sky Sports: "I think it is a great result for us. We started very well and in the first minutes we started really strong. We want it from the start to try and score early. I think we made the difference and we knew it was an important start."

On Ryan Christie: "I think Ryan has played very well in the games. Today he got the numbers and sometimes he doesn't. I am very happy for him because he is trying to improve. Today he has done everything."

On how the game panned out: "The third goal was the key of the game. When you are winning 2-0 you look comfortable but then when you concede one they are going to be pushing and putting pressure. Luckily for us we scored and we finished the game well.

"It is good to see Alex Scott and Sinisterra having minutes for the first time in a while. We have been quite thin in recent months so it is nice to have players to finish games.

"We are not focusing too much on the standings. I think we need to keep the performance level. We are performing at a very high level. It is difficult to keep the same level of performance. It is a very log season and there are a lot of games to play."

  9. 'We remembered what we were'published at 17:27 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    FT: Man City 4-0 Newcastle

    Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, speaking to Sky Sports: "The way we played, we remembered what we were and what we have not been this season.

"We always try, but sometimes we cannot do it. I am really pleased with the pace and intensity we had up front, Nico [Gonzalez] and [Abdukodir] Khusanov were extraordinary. We need to win these games to qualify for the Champions League. We have to make this kind of performance to send our people home happy.

"[Omar]Marmoush did really well in Germany, a player with his quality and pace, I was pleased with the way he scored. Against Orient he missed chances, but today in the final third he was really good.

"[Erling] Haaland has signed a 10 year contract, so I have the feeling about him as captain. I am really happy for him." On whether he sees Haaland as a long-term City captain: "Sooner or later, a question of time."

  10. 'I didn't agree with the red card'published at 17:27 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    FT: Aston Villa 1-1 Ipswich

    Ipswich Town

Marcus Rashford congratulates Ipswich Town's English manager Kieran McKennaImage source, Getty Images

Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna speaking to Sky Sports on whether it is a point gained: "Certainly says so from where we were at half time and going in with 10 man. I think it was pretty even game until the red card which I didn't agree with and then yeah at half time you know you are in a really difficult situation and you have to show your character, manage the game and be ready to take your moment and we did all those things really well. It's a really well earned point.

On Axel Tuanzebe's red card: "I think the first yellow was a poor one for me, I didn't think it was a foul. Even if it was a foul, I think it was a decision given against a smaller team against a bigger team away form home. It was out of the pocket before the ball even stopped rolling. I thought that was a really poor yellow. The second one there's not too many complaints."

On Liam Delap: "He did a really good job, you need a physical outlet, you want someone who can carry the ball up the pitch and he did that well. Him and Omari Hutchinson, two young players, were the highest up the pitch and they showed real growth and maturity."

On Alex Palmer: "He was excellent, the lads were delighted for him. A really good start for him in the Premier League, a big part in the point."

  11. 'We left it all on the pitch'published at 17:26 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    FT: West Ham 0-1 Brentford

    Brentford

Brentford goalscorer Kevin Schade, speaking to Sky Sports: "I think we left it all on the pitch especially in the second half when it was very tight but I think we should have scored more in the first half. I think we should have scored many more to make it clear.

"I think we were very dominant in the first half but we had to keep going and fight to win."

Forest’s defence appears to be having a wobble. 11 goals conceded in their last 5 games. Fingers crossed Nuno can steady the ship because we have 3 “six-pointers” coming up (Newcastle, Arsenal and Man City) and a chance to get through to the FA Cup quarter-finals.

  13. "We deserve the results we are getting'published at 17:25 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    FT: Southampton 1-3 Bournemouth

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I think it is a good win for us and it is always difficult to play away in the Premier League. We played very good in the first 45 minutes but it is true that when they scored there were some moments that were risky and we were suffering. But thankfully we got the third one which is good."

On Ryan Christie: "I am very happy for Ryan. He has played well almost every time and it is a good shot from the edge of the box and he scores. You can see the work he has put in there. It was lovely goal and he is in a very good moment also."

On the game: "We talked at half-time that we needed a third goal to finish this game. We had some good counters and through one of those we scored the third one and it was good."

On European football: "I don't care about the position right now. I continue with the same spirit. 43 points is a good amount but we need many more. We have to focus on the next games. Let's see where we are and later in the season we can look at the standings. It is early.

"We definitely deserve the results we are getting and this is not a given that you are going to perform the same way until the end. If we perform in the same way, we will be there and be close. But it is difficult to stay at this level until the end of the season."

The Fulham fans were all given hand clappers before this one, but didn’t need any help providing an atmosphere; their team was absolutely brilliant.

There was a lot of talk about their poor recent home record before the game, but that conversation was well and truly put to bed today.

After a fairly dry day in west London, the rain is lashing down at Craven Cottage. Thankfully for the Fulham faithful, they can shelter under their new cardboard umbrellas.

  15. 'The feeling is crazy'published at 17:22 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    FT: Man City 4-0 Newcastle

    Manchester City

Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "Amazing day, the feeling is crazy. And the three points, we came in from the first minute and got the job done. It was all fast paced, I was really happy to help the team.

"I also have to thank my team-mates, the coach and staff, everyone helped me from the first day making me feel part of this family.

"It was an amazing atmosphere, I would like to thank the fans for the really nice applause."

  16. 'The first half was not good enough'published at 17:20 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    FT: West Ham 0-1 Brentford

    West Ham United

West Ham forward Evan Ferguson, speaking to Premier League Productions: "I think all the lads as a group know that the first half was not good enough but we responded well if you are going to lose a game, you lose it by playing like we did in the second half.

"I was delighted to get on and just try to help the team. Hopefully we can have better days and get a few wins. We need to watch the game back and look at what we need to improve on."

  17. 'We were lacking in the duels'published at 17:19 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    FT: Man City 4-0 Newcastle

    Newcastle United

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It was a tough day at the office - they played well, we didn't. The goals were poor moments, we will have to analyse them and work out what we could do better.

"From the off we were lacking in duels, the physical side. Man City are so good in the build-up, to disrupt that you have to be exceptional physically and we weren't.

"We can't look for excuses, there are a load of reasons we could look at, but the players should have been fresh and ready to perform, they didn't.

"We've got some tough games, the fixture list will test us. We have to dust ourselves off for next week."

Poor from Villa today. Failure to capitalise on teams above losing as well as playing against 10 men. Looks like Europe is a long shot.

  19. 'One of the best saves I've ever seen'published at 17:16 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    FT: Aston Villa 1-1 Ipswich

    Ipswich Town

Ipswich goalscorer Liam Delap, speaking to BBC MOTD: "The way the game panned out in the first half, to go down to 10 men we knew it was going to be a really tough game but we believed in ourselves and showed we can compete. Everyone who started the game and who finished the game were excellent."

On his goal: "It's a really good ball from Omari and I just gambled and it was a good finish and I just need to keep it up and see how many i can get.

"In training we spend a lot of time working on crossing and finishing, I'm a striker and I love kicking the ball in the back of the net. I spend forever on the training pitch shooting so when it comes to a game you're more used to it."

On Alex Palmer: "Incredible, I said to him one of them was the best saves I've ever seen live. He's incredible and he's a very good person as well so it's a real boost for us to have that quality now."

On staying in the Premier League: "We've got such belief and confidence and our standards are top tier, we really believe we can put in the performances to get the points."

On catching up in with Mohamed Salah for the golden boot: "He's quite far ahead, ain't he?! There's room for improvement and I just need to carry on."

  20. 'Important to bounce back at home'published at 17:15 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    FT: Fulham 2-1 Nottm Forest

    Fulham

Fulham's Emile Smith Rowe, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "I think it was a massive win for us today. It was important for us to get three points on the board and we're delighted with the performance.

"I feel like our form away from home has been really good but the consistency at home we haven't really been clinical enough. I think today was important that we bounced back at home.

"Of course [our ambition is to push for Europe], that was the ambition at the start of the season. At the same time we've got to keep pushing, taking every game as it comes. It's really tight so we've got to stay focused."
