  1. CLOSE!published at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    Huddersfield 0-0 Birmingham

Herbie Kane has shown more than once he's perfectly capable of lashing in a 20-yard volley and he's come close here.

A set-piece is only half cleared and the recalled Kane produces a stooping volley which flashes wide of Ryan Allsop's right upright.

  2. Postpublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    Fleetwood 2-0 Walsall

The scoring is not done, that's for sure.

James Bolton comes close to a third with another flashing header from a set-piece - something the Saddlers just can't get to grips with tonight.

At the other end Liam Gordon breaks away and finds evergreen Albert Adomah, but his effort cannons off a defender and is easy for the keeper to gather.

    Wrexham 0-2 Stevenage

Boro have done well to nullify the threat of the home side so far and they so nearly had a third goal themselves.

Jamie Reid weaved forward and looked like he might shoot, but the ball breaks to Dan Kemp who flashed a shot over the bar from 20 yards out. He wants a corner but doesn't get one.

Another nervy moment for Arthur Okonkwo seconds later as he makes a hash of coming out to gather a headed backpass and almost gifts the ball to the visitors in his own area.

He's been out for a long time and Wrexham are clearly not on the same wavelength at the back yet.

  4. Postpublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    Wycombe 0-1 Barnsley

Barnsley can't keep soaking up this pressure.

Richard Kone finds a bit of space from a narrow angle but Ben Killip tips it away.

It's one-way traffic at the moment.

  5. Postpublished at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    Bolton 1-1 Northampton

Northampton are giving as good as they get here and Cameron McGeehan has a go from distance but Luke Southwood is safely behind it.

In-form Leyton Orient are in cruise control at Exeter, leading 3-0.

Charlton started the night in tenth place and are 1-0 up on Bristol Rovers.

At the bottom, Burton have extended their lead against Reading to 2-0 with Jon Dadi Bodvarsson adding the second goal.

Peterborough have gone ahead through Mahamadou Susoho at home to Wigan.

  7. Postpublished at 20:15 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    Huddersfield 0-0 Birmingham

Blues are building up a bit of a head of steam here.

Marc Leonard sees a low shot from just inside the area deflected past the upright after Taylor Gardner-Hickman's cross had evaded Lyndon Dykes in the middle.

Pretty frantic defending at present from the Terriers.

    Wycombe 0-1 Barnsley

    Brian Howard
Former Barnsley captain on BBC Radio Sheffield

Four big saves already made by Ben Killip in this match, he is ensuring Barnsley still lead, even if only just.

You can see why Wycombe are the top goalscorers in the league.

  9. Postpublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    Wrexham 0-2 Stevenage

By no means textbook but Murphy Cooper in the Stevenage goal gets the job done, throwing a leg at a bouncing ball at his far post, with defender Kane Smith in close attendance to prevent the hosts from pulling a goal back from Ryan Barnett's teasing cross in from the right.

  10. Postpublished at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    Wycombe 0-1 Barnsley

Wycombe are pushing for an equaliser and finding space down both flanks but it's a ball straight down the middle which has them on the attack.

Ben Killip fails to gather it as it bounces into his area but Daniel Udoh can't thread the ball beyond some desperate Barnsley defending.

From the corner the visitors' goalkeeper has to palm away the ball from under his crossbar before making another save from Luke Leahy.

The home side are pressing hard for this leveller.

Ethan Laird in action for Birmingham CityImage source, Rex Features

Ethan Laird is a thorn in the Terriers side already and breaks clear down the right before sliding a cross across the face of goal.

Jay Stansfield can't get on the end of it, but Lyndon Dykes can beyond the far post, firing in a low, angled shot which keeper Jacob Chapman turns beyond his near post.

Chapman flaps at the resultant corner but escapes as the ball ricochets behind for a goal kick.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    Huddersfield 0-0 Birmingham

An early yellow card for Huddersfield's Brodie Spencer as he lunges in on the marauding Ethan Laird near the byline and gets none of the ball.

That's eight for the season for the Northern Ireland man.

The Blues free-kick is tame to the near post and comes to nothing.

  13. Postpublished at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    Wycombe 0-1 Barnsley

Ben Killip does well to keep Barnsley ahead.

Richard Kone plays in Cameron Humphreys but Killip's outstretched leg makes the block.

Humphreys then drives a cross across the face of the Barnsley goal before Killip again has to be alert to deny Jack Grimmer.

This is what I prefer to see, some little transitions around the attacking third.

  15. goal

GOAL Wrexham 0-2 Stevenagepublished at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    Jamie Reid (19 mins)

Stevenage are in dreamland. Arthur Okonkwo wants the ground to swallow him up.

Jamie Reid is given time and space to move across the face of the area before unleashing a right-footed strike which squirms through the keeper's grasp and into the back of the net.

That's Reid's first goal of 2025 and Boro have found the goal trail away from home.

The Stok Cae Ras is silenced.

  16. Postpublished at 20:03 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    Bolton 1-1 Northampton

Bolton are looking to react quickly from that Northampton equaliser and Szabolcs Schon has forced Nik Tzanev into an excellent save with the ball heading for the top corner.

Azeem Abdulai has wasted little time endearing himself to the Leyton Orient faithful

He only joined from Swansea last week and has scored two goals as the O's have sprinted into a 3-0 lead at Exeter. Sean Clare has the third.

Burton are looking to pull off the great escape and Rumarn Burrell has given them the lead against Reading.

Charlton are 1-0 up on Bristol Rovers thanks to Matt Godden.

  20. goal

GOAL Wrexham 0-1 Stevenagepublished at 19:58 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    Dan Kemp (13 mins)

He got the 92nd-minute winner on Saturday, now he's put Boro ahead at Wrexham inside 13 minutes.

Stevenage pinch possession in midfield and break forward, the ball is switched right for Jordan Roberts who whips in a low shot which Arthur Okonkwo can only spoon back into his goalmouth for Dan Kemp to thump the opener.

    Game on!
