    Owen Hargreaves
Former Manchester United midfielder on TNT Sports

    Tottenham can save their season.

This is a huge opportunity and you have to forget about everything. You can win a European trophy but it starts tonight.

They have to enjoy it. This is what you play for.

Just before the teams came out, Manchester United set some fireworks off in front of the Stretford End.

They weren't extensive. But they were quite colourful.

  4. 'Solanke is almost the perfect centre forward'published at 19:56 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

Tottenham v AZ Alkmaar (20:00 GMT, 0-1 agg)

    Owen Hargreaves
Former Manchester United midfielder on TNT Sports

Dominic Solanke is class. He's almost the perfect centre forward with his size.

He can hold it up, he can run the channels. He's a good finisher as well.

He needs service, with the amount of possession Tottenham have, they should be creating.

Solanke is perfect. If he's fit and raring to go, I think he scores tonight.

  5. Christian Eriksen's warm-up funpublished at 19:54 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

Man Utd v Real Sociedad (20:00GMT)

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter at Old Trafford

Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen seemed to be having a bit of fun at the expense of some of his younger team-mates during the warm-up.

The United substitutes were challenged to not let the ball hit the ground and pass it on with only two touches.

Eriksen seemed to be putting a bit more pace on his passes, making it harder to control.

The 33-year-old Denmark international thought it was quite amusing.

  6. 'I was stating a fact, I always win in my second season'published at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

Tottenham v AZ Alkmaar (20:00 GMT, 0-1 agg)

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou doesn't regret his statement that he always wins something in his second season, stating: "My view has always been when you're asked something, you answer it.

"People have used it for their own purposes to make out I was making a bold claim. I was just stating a fact [about the past].

If we do win a trophy this season, then some people might say 'oh isn't it nice that he did that after making such a bold claim'. It wasn't. People will just use it the way they want to, whatever the circumstances."

    Dion Dublin
Former Aston Villa striker on BBC Sportsday

    I don't know if Joshua Zirzkee's a 10, eight or number nine.

When the ball is at his feet he's quite silky, but I don't know what his best position is.

  8. 'Hojlund needs to score the first one'published at 19:52 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

On Rasmus Hojlund: "He can score in the next game that's always the idea. He shows a lot of good things that he's doing for the team.

"He is doing the right things, but he needs to score the first one."

On Martín Zubimendi returning for Real Sociedad: "The identity is the same, but he's a top player which can change a team."

  10. 'The most important game of the season'published at 19:50 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

Man Utd v Real Sociedad (20:00 GMT, 1-1 agg)

    Dion Dublin
Former Aston Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Manchester United are not where they want to be on-and-off the field.

It doesn't seem to be right at Old Trafford. This is possibly the most important game of the season.

Players have to know how important it is. Not only for this season, but for going forward.

  11. 'We can attack better and defend better'published at 19:49 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

    Chelsea v Copenhagen (20:00 GMT, 2-1 agg)

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca admitted he was "surprised" by the way Copenhagen set up for the first leg last week.

"I watched many of their games and they played with a four but against us they played with five [in defence]," he said.

"Then we tried to adapt. They changed completely the way they played. We don't know how they will play - we will find out."

On his team's style of play, he added: "Off the ball the way we play is quite clear: we try to be aggressive. On the ball, we try to control the game.

"In this moment I think we are the second or third best attacking team in the Premier League. For sure, we can attack better and defend better."

Man Utd v Real Sociedad (20:00 GMT, 1-1 agg)

    Manchester United

More from Manchester United chief executive Omar Berrada, speaking to TNT Sports: "We speak to Ruben [Amorim] very frequently. Ruben has a good relationship with Jason Wilcox [Technical Director]. They both share the vision of how they want to see the team playing.

"It is about planning properly for the summer transfer window and having a clear idea of what players we want to bring in.

"We're making some big efforts to get us in the best financial position.

"Even if we're outside of Europe - I think we will be in a position to invest in the squad.

"Our ambition is to win tonight and win the Europa League and be in the Champions League which is where I think we belong."

  14. Man Utd's patchy home formpublished at 19:47 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

Man Utd v Real Sociedad (Agg: 1-1. 20:00GMT)

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter at Old Trafford

Manchester United are unbeaten at home in the Europa League so far this season, following up their draw with Dutch side FC Twente by recording three straight wins, the last one in thrilling style, with a last-minute winner against Rangers in January.

However, they have lost five times at Old Trafford in the Premier League and were also beaten here on penalties by Fulham in the FA Cup on 2 March.

They cannot afford to suffer another loss tonight.

  15. 'Got to be a special European night for Spurs'published at 19:46 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

Tottenham v AZ Alkmaar (20:00 GMT, 0-1 agg)

    Glenn Hoddle
Former England and Tottenham manager on TNT Sports

It is a massive night for the club, for Ange Postecoglou, for the players.

They haven't played at their best recently. They were poor in the first leg, particularly the first half.

Out of that performance they're still in the game, in the hunt and they could've found themselves three down.

It's got to be a special European night, be the twelfth man, get behind the team and really take the roof off.

They start games poorly and they can't afford that tonight.

  16. 'Tottenham's season is on the line'published at 19:46 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

Tottenham v AZ Alkmaar (20:00 GMT, 0-1 agg)

    Owen Hargreaves
Former Manchester United midfielder on TNT Sports

Their season is on the line.

They need to find a way to get back into Champions League football.

Am I the only Chelsea fan nervous of this line-up? Copenhagen were pretty threatening in the reverse leg so whilst I'm enjoying seeing opportunities for the youngsters, I'm a little worried.

  18. 'Vicario wears his heart on his sleeve'published at 19:44 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

Tottenham v AZ Alkmaar (20:00 GMT, 0-1 agg)

    Joe Hart
Former Tottenham and Man City goalkeeper on TNT Sports

I've been really impressed with him [Guglielmo Vicario]. I'll be honest, I didn't know much about him when he came in, coming in for Hugo Lloris is huge boots to fill.

He's improving as a goalkeeper and he's improving under Ange Postecoglou.

I love to see a genuine personality. His heart's on his sleeve, his body's on the line, he wants what's best, he wants his team to get behind him and come together.

He knows together they're stronger and he sends a great message.

  19. 'We're making hard choices'published at 19:42 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

Man Utd v Real Sociedad (20:00 GMT, 1-1 agg)

    Manchester United

Manchester United chief executive Omar Berrada, speaking to TNT Sports: "It has been a big week. We're very pleased with the stadium announcement. We've announced our ambition to back the government regeneration plan around this area by building a new stadium.

"It has been positive, overall. People have looked at the design and seen something which is quite unique and iconic."

On funding the new stadium: "It is early days, we've announced our aspirations. We're going to keep all options open to see how we can finance it. Our goal is to finance it while also investing in the team right now.

"We're going to work with our fans and consult with different parties to see what the best way of financing it.

"What were doing right now in the short term is getting our finances in order. As you know the club has faced lots of losses. We're making hard choices to get back on a strong financial footing. What we want and our fans want is to see a club which is successful."

  20. 'Spurs have best squad in Europa League'published at 19:38 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

Tottenham v AZ Alkmaar (20:00 GMT, 0-1 agg)

    Owen Hargreaves
Former Manchester United midfielder on TNT Sports

For him [Ange Postcoglou], he knows that if they lose this there's problems for everyone at the football club.

He can say they're going to play their stuff, but I think not playing so open, and actually defending well, they'll score goals.

They're one of the highest scorers in the Premier League. It's defensively that's been the biggest issue.

They've got the players to go and do it. They've got the best squad in the Europa League.
