Where would Man Utd be without Bruno Fernandes? Probably close to relegation from the Premier League. He's one player certainly worth his wages.

    Andy

Rasmus Hojlund looks really up for it tonight. It would have been nice to see him take the penalty to break his dry spell.

For a second there, when Bruno Fernandes looked to the sky, he seemed a little bit nervous.

If he was, the Manchester United skipper hid it well when he came to strike the ball.

In this traumatic of seasons, Fernandes is the shining light.

That is 13 goals for the Portuguese so far this season. Manchester United would be in a far worse state without him.

A brilliant penalty. We were all waiting, Bruno Fernandes does the skip and just before he gets to the ball the keeper leans to his left and Bruno puts it to his right.

    The skipper, again.

  18. Oyarzabal was cutepublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March

Man Utd 0-1 Real Sociedad (1-2 agg)

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter at Old Trafford

Mikel Oyarzabal was very cute in the way he got his leg in front of Matthijs de Ligt.

The Real Sociedad skipper was not really in a position to do anything with the ball because his body shape was taking him away from the Manchester United goal.

But De Ligt slipped slightly as he went for it and that was enough to take Oyarzabal down.

It's a terrible start. The consolation is there is a long way to go.
