    West Ham 3-2 Crystal Palace

Well it's safe to say that the game has hit somewhat of a lull as we close in on the 75 minute mark.

After such an impressive first half display Crystal Palace look a little short on energy and ideas now.

Can Laura Kaminski find a way to reinvigorate her side and at least take a share of the spoils?

    FT: Chelsea 4-2 Brighton

Chelsea restore their five-point lead at the top of the WSL, but only after seeing off a determined Brighton side who were ultimately undone by their own errors.

Sonia Bompastor's side attempted 30 shots - the highest total for any team in a WSL match this season - and will feel they were deserved winners in the end, but Brighton certainly made them work for it.

A victory over Leicester City next weekend would see Chelsea set a WSL record for the most consecutive wins at the start of a WSL campaign.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:59 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    West Ham 3-2 Crystal Palace

West Ham make their first change of the game.

Goalscorer Manuela Pavi had been struggling with cramp in the last few minutes so she makes way for Emma Harries.

  4. CLOSE!published at 15:57 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    West Ham 3-2 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace work the ball nicely down the right and into the feet of Katie Stengel.

The forward spins her defender and shoots low but the shot is met by a smothering dive from Kinga Szemik.

    Chelsea 4-2 Brighton

Sensing her time to complete a hat-trick is quickly running out, Sjoeke Nusken shoots from distance but isn't troubling Sophie Baggaley from there. A double will likely have to do.

  9. goal

GOAL - Arsenal 4-0 Aston Villapublished at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Alessia Russo (90+4 mins)

    A delicious cherry on top!

Villa left back Paula Tomas dawdles on the ball in her own area, and is robbed by Alessia Russo who turns and curls a shot into the top corner.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Chelsea 4-2 Brighton

Oriane Jean-Francois replaces Erin Cuthbert for the remaining few minutes.

  11. Postpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    West Ham 3-2 Crystal Palace

Oona Siren is seeing plenty of the ball in attacking areas for the home side in this second half.

Riko Ueki picks her out just shy of the box but her left footed finish rolls harmlessly into the gloves of Shae Yanez.

  12. Postpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Arsenal 3-0 Aston Villa

Well Katie McCabe has been booked seconds ago, but already she is getting involved in a spat with Villa's Noelle Maritz.

McCabe is fortunate to just get spoken to by the ref, rather than picking up a second yellow.

  13. Postpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    West Ham 3-2 Crystal Palace

Palace are just building up another head of steam as the wind swirls around the Chigwell Construction Stadium.

The ball is fired into the box from a corner but captain Aimee Everett can't get her toe on the end of it.

    Game over!

In the first of four added minutes at Kingsmeadow, Brighton's hopes are ended as Sjoeke Nusken heads in a corner at the front post for her second of the game.

It's going to be nine wins from nine for Sonia Bompastor's Chelsea!

Catarina Macario arrives late into the box but can't send her first-time shot on target and Brighton still remain in contention in the final stages.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Arsenal 3-0 Aston Villa

Katie McCabe picks up a booking for a cynical trip, as team mate Alessia Russo is named player of the match.

  17. Postpublished at 15:45 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    Arsenal 3-0 Villa

    Should be 4-0!

Lina Hurtig plays Stina Blackstenius through a tired Villa defence, the Swede is one on one with the keeper... but hits the outside of the post.

    She should have buried that.

  18. 'Siren should've tested the keeper'published at 15:45 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    West Ham 3-2 Crystal Palace

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC One

That's probably one of the easiest opportunities. Oona Siren was one-on-one with the goalkeeper but doesn't test Shae Yanez at all. It was hit straight at the keeper.

Will that miss come back to haunt West Ham?

  19. CLOSE!published at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    West Ham 3-2 Crystal Palace

West Ham are edging closer to a fourth here.

Oona Siren picks up the ball in the final third and drives at goal before shooting with her left foot from the edge of the box. She gets too much power on it though and sends the ball over the bar.

  20. Postpublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December

    West Ham 3-2 Crystal Palace

Again we are all left wondering why teams continue to try to play out from the back under high pressure and in such bad weather conditions...
