    While Arsenal and Tottenham were keeping it steady, with clean sheets and disciplined performances, things went a bit wild elsewhere in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

    Lots of goals, genuine scares and some shock results for the more established clubs as the minnows announced their arrival in grand style.

    Well that wasn't a bad start, was it?

    Tottenham returned to the Champions League with a narrow 1-0 win at home to Spanish side Villarreal.

    They continued a winning start for Premier League clubs in Europe's top club competition, following on from Arsenal's impressive 2-0 victory over Athletic Club in Bilbao.

    Reaction to both those games is coming up, before we start to look ahead to the rest of this week's Champions League ties.
