"Youssef Chermiti is back on the grass today. I'm getting told maybe 3-4 weeks we may have a chance of getting him back but his first day back was today."

Bournemouth v Liverpool (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    Liverpool

Liverpool manager Arne Slot on Saturday's opponents: "This is probably going to sound strange, I knew this already when we were playing the second half against them in our home game.

"We were 3-0 up at half-time and I was expecting a second half where we could control the ball and maybe score a fourth one but they just kept on going at us for 45 minutes and that showed me the character of the team and since then they have been outstanding.

"They have beaten so many strong teams and there is a simple reason for that a lot of quality created by Richard [Hughes, former Bournemouth director who now works for Liverpool]. He hired a fantastic manager as well, why is he a fantastic manager? He has a good game plan and his players work incredibly hard."

"I don't have any idea about the ones that they can leave or arrive. Anything can happen. The main focus is the game and the most important thing."

And on if stories around transfers have affected the club's form: "100% for me yes. I have said many times they are human beings, even if they say 'I am professional, I am focused on this', if they are talking about you and different clubs the focus is not 100%. But as I said it's not just for us.

"That's one thing, the other thing is losing Wes. For us, he has been a key player. If you see City, Arsenal or other teams it happens in all the teams. The good thing is we still have a good performance and we create chances and a big difference for me has been inside the box."

Maresca was asked whether the club had tried to recall goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from his loan at Bournemouth, to which he replied: "Absolutely not."

On if the game being on transfer deadline day will affect his team selection: "We have in this moment many noises around the players but it is not just for us, if you as Graham I don't know if he has noises around players.

"He changed in everything - the approach when I talk to him, the way he recovers, he understands sometimes I'm a different coach and that I'm demanding in my way.

"Sometimes it's hard with the first impact because it's a different type of coach. He understands [now] that it's never in a bad way - it's always for him.

"I think all the merit is for Garnacho. He is improving and we want to continue to improve with Garnacho. On Thursday he understood the position, the moments of playing inside or outside, and the connection with Diogo Dalot is improving a lot."
