29 goals from 10 Championship games this afternoon leaves much to ponder.

A fourth-straight win for Scott Parker's Burnley moved them up to second, while Watford and West Brom missed out on the chance to boost their own play-off ambitions.

Lowly QPR and Portsmouth both looked like wins were within their grasp, but they will have to make do with just the single point today.

It is goodbye for now, but one more game from the division this weekend comes your way tomorrow, as Derby County host Sheffield Wednesday.

Join us from 14:45 GMT for that one.

    Cheers!

Bristol City boss Liam Manning described his sense of "relief" after the Robins scored their first goal in the second-half, before going on to put another three past Plymouth.

“In the second half you could feel the relief when we finally scored the first one," he told BBC Radio Bristol.

“Credit to the lads for sticking at it, staying calm and not panicking. It epitomises the culture we have here, it’s all about turning up and putting the work in every single day.

“I’m really pleased for Anis (Mehmeti), he’s so driven and I love how I can be honest and tough on him but he then will go and do his best to make it happen.

“I’m delighted he got his goals, it’s great we had everyone chip in today though, we need everyone to turn up and contribute and today was a good example of that.”

  3. Carrick pleased with Boro bouncing backpublished at 17:54 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Middlesbrough 3-1 Hull

    Middlesbrough

Michael Carrick was happy with Middlesbrough's showing in their win against struggling Hull City.

Boro dominated much of the match, other than a brief period when Hull momentarily threatened when they got on the board to make it 2-1, and Carrick was pleased to see his side bounce back from defeat by Blackburn in midweek.

"I thought today was going to be a really tricky game, the type of team they are and the way they play, the change of manager, but we came through it really well and did a lot of good things," Carrick said.

"We pressed well as a team, scored goals and could and probably should have scored more, so it was good to bounce back from what was hopefully a blip the other night."

  4. 'I feel relief' - Norwich's Crnacpublished at 17:51 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Norwich 4-2 Luton

    Norwich City

Norwich City striker Ante Crnac has emphasised how comfortable and settled he now feels in the Canaries side, after scoring two goals in the team's 4-2 win over Luton.

"It's been a great week. We played great football and I think it showed," he told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"We know we can score a lot of goals. Sometimes we make mistakes, but that is OK, we are here for each other."

Crnac has now scored three goals in two games, after having netted just once in his previous 15 matches in all competitions for the club.

"It was tough at the beggining when I came, but now I think I'm feeling better. It's like relief," he admitted.

"Every position you play, you need to do your best and I think strikers need to score goals."

QPR head coach Marti Cifuentes said he was proud of his side after they battled to a point at Watford.

“We are proud of our performance and the way we played against a very good team," Cifuentes told BBC Radio London.

“But at the same time we feel a little disappointed not to get the three points and I think that says a lot about our game.

“In the first half we were very good at creating chances and dominating the game for long periods, but we need to capitalise on those moments.

“We had Watford in trouble, but perhaps we knew they would change some things in the second half.

“They went to a back four, they tried to be braver and that paid off for them because they really pushed us, but at the same time there is the feeling we could have had more.”

  6. 'Not our best day' says Cleverley after QPR drawpublished at 17:46 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Watford 0-0 QPR

    Watford

Watford boss Tom CleverleyImage source, PA Media

Watford boss Tom Cleverley labelled his goalless draw against struggling QPR 'fair' but thinks it was a bit of a missed opportunity.

“I thought the result was a fair one, but I’m not sure how it was 0-0," he told BBC Three Counties Radio.

“I thought the pressure we put them under in the first half we deserved to kick the door down, but on the balance of things they’ve probably shaded the best of the chances.

“We dominated the game in possession and shots on target, but with them having the best quality of chances, I’d say a draw was a fair result.

“We weren’t at it at all in the first half, and we’ll pick the bones out of that, but a change of system, change of mentality, I thought we were entertaining in the second half.

“We were really pushing to win it and leaving ourselves a little bit exposed in the second half.

“On balance, not our best day, but we remain unbeaten here.”

  7. 'I'm raging and fans should be too' - Edwardspublished at 17:43 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Norwich 4-2 Luton

    Rob EdwardsImage source, Getty Images

A furious Rob Edwards has criticised his players for giving away "absolutely ridiculous" goals in their 4-2 defeat at Norwich today.

“I knew they were going to have a lot of the ball, but at 1-0 up and then 2-2 I thought we looked really good," Edwards told BBC Three Counties Radio.

“Today, individual errors have cost us. I’m not going to go over there (Luton supporters) and apologise today because that’s not on me - it was individual errors that cost us four goals.

“It’s absolutely ridiculous. I’m raging about it and the supporters should be as well.

“People have got to fix it quickly, otherwise they won’t play. Too many times it’s happened, but today it was so, so evident.

“The plan was good, there was a good performance there and we should have come away winning the game, but we’ve made four massive errors individually and it’s cost us a game of football again.

“The majority of fans are with us, and if there are some that are angry, that’s fine - they’re flipping right to be angry. I'm angry as well. We’ve just lost 4-2 and chucked it away. I’m ready to fight and dig in, but every one of those players has to do that with me as well.”

  8. Harris feels Millwall could have got more at Oxfordpublished at 17:41 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Oxford 1-1 Millwall

    Millwall

    Neil HarrisImage source, Rex Features

Much like his Oxford counterpart Des Buckingham, Millwall boss Neil Harris felt his side should have come away with more than a point after their 1-1 draw.

“I’m really disappointed that we only got a point," Harris told BBC Radio London.

“In the second half Oxford played better without creating any chances until the goal, I thought we were poor with the ball and not as creative in the second half.

“We handed the game up until 80 minutes really well and then we became a big ragged and lost our shape a bit, when we lost Josh Coburn to injury at half time and you have no Duncan Watmore and Hutch (Shaun Hutchinson) has had to come off it just shows how important certain players are within our group.”

  9. Buckingham 'disappointed' with Oxford pointpublished at 17:36 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Oxford 1-1 Millwall

    Oxford United

    Des BuckinghamImage source, Rex Features

Oxford United boss Des Buckingham was not pleased with his side following their draw against Millwall.

Buckingham's U's came from behind to seal a point against the Lions but he felt they could have got more.

“We’re disappointed with a point," he told BBC Radio Oxford.

“We didn’t play our game in the first half and there was clearly some rust there, we needed to play with the ball and move the ball quicker.

“It was a much better second half for us and we need to make sure that with the run of games we have coming up that the second half is how we are for a full game.

“The players that came on in the second half helped to get us up the pitch and gave us different ways of causing a threat, Tyler (Goodrham) doesn’t score tap ins does he?”

  10. 'We tried to play the right way'published at 17:33 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Blackburn 1-0 Leeds

    Blackburn Rovers

Blackburn boss John EustaceImage source, PA Media

Blackburn manager John Eustace is delighted with his side's win against Leeds United.

That result stopped their opponents from going top of the Championship and gave Rovers a third straight win.

"Outstanding performance and very proud of the boys. All round we were brave trying to play out from the back and while it caused us a couple of problems and gave them a couple of opportunities, we tried to play the right way and with good attacking football as well, trying to go toe-to-toe with a good team," Eustace told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"They did have lots of the ball and that was always going to happen but it is important when we get the opportunities we have to be more clinical. But the most important thing is we got the three points.

"It is important that Todd Cantwell is off the mark now as I think it has been playing on his mind a little bit. He could have scored a couple more but he is getting in the right areas and playing some fantastic football."

  11. Farke thinks Leeds started too slow v Blackburnpublished at 17:30 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Blackburn 1-0 Leeds

    Leeds United

Leeds boss Daniel FarkeImage source, PA Media

Leeds manager Daniel Farke was unhappy with his side's start against Blackburn as they missed the chance to go top of the Championship.

Todd Cantwell's penalty gave Rovers all three points at Ewood Park.

“Blackburn had the better start and for that they deserved to win the game. We started too slow and gave too many unnecessary free kicks and fouls away. The penalty was the same," Farke told BBC Radio Leeds.

“Lazy is perhaps too harsh but we should have had a bit more aggression and been quicker in the head.

“I was not happy with our start and we have to be ready and quicker and do the yards that are really hurting and we didn’t do that.

“Due to their postponed game they had more or less one game in the last 10 days whereas this was the third in six days for us and an early kick off as well."

  12. Two-goal Crnac delivers for Canariespublished at 17:28 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Norwich 4-2 Luton

    Rob Butler
    BBC Radio Norfolk sport

Norwich's Ante Crnac deserves man of the match.

Not just for his two goals, but for his assist for Emiliano Marcondes, what about that unselfishness?

Brilliant performance from Onel Hernandez off the bench.

Could he start at QPR next Saturday? That right-wing spot is there for him.

  13. Deja vu as West Brom draw againpublished at 17:26 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Preston 1-1 West Brom

    Giulia Bould
    Final Score

This was an enjoyable battle to watch with both sides going at it right to the end.

Preston’s point keeps them clear of the bottom three.

For West Brom, who are looking for a play-off place, it is now 10 league games unbeaten but NINE of them are draws.

  14. Burnley defence 'really impressive'published at 17:23 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Stoke 0-2 Burnley

    Lee Blakeman
BBC Radio 5 Live at the bet365 Stadium

It took a few minutes to get started, and when it did, only one team really turned up.

    A fourth-straight win for Scott Parker's team.

That is five clean sheets in a row for a team who have only conceded six in their 18 league games so far - really impressive.

Burnley are just one place and two points behind leaders Sheffield United now.

  15. 'Coventry can't defend'published at 17:20 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Coventry 2-2 Cardiff

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

Coventry boss Frank LampardImage source, Rex Features

Well it is a disappointing result, the reason it is disappointing is that Coventry can't defend, and they are giving up two goals a game. When you do that you're not going to win many and you're not even going to draw many.

Credit to the Sky Blues they have managed to come back from behind and draw this game but in truth they have not done enough to win it.

It was a really entertaining first half right from the fourth minute and then it was end to end. The second half was not quite as entertaining - Cardiff got in front and changed to a back five and soaked up the pressure.

  16. Norwich not at 'their free flowing best'published at 17:17 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Norwich 4-2 Luton

    Simon Lappin
Former Norwich midfielder on BBC Radio Norfolk

Norwich are certainly not in bad shape.

It was a pleasing end to a pleasing week. Luton did make it difficult for Norwich at the start, coming off the back of a disappointing loss to Leeds in the week.

It was up to Norwich to find a way, and they weren't at their free-flowing best that we have seen in recent times. But they found a way and the moments of quality were the ones that counted.

    The Championship table's bottom 10

A frustrating day for Portsmouth as they remain bottom after letting a two-goal lead slip at Swansea.

Plymouth drop further towards the danger zone after they were thrashed at Bristol City, while Luton's loss at Norwich sees them slip to 19th.

Preston and Cardiff both picked up a valuable point, as did fellow strugglers QPR.

Coventry also moved up after getting a draw in their first game under new boss Frank Lampard.

Here's how things are looking at the top of the Championship then.

A great weekend for Sheffield United and Burnley. Not so good for Leeds United, Sunderland and Watford.

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough, Blackburn and Norwich all make ground in the hunt for promotion.
