Fulham boss Marco Silva speaking to Sky Sports: "It's a mixture of emotions and feelings at this moment. I'm pleased with how we started the game. It was really good. We were winning the game already with the red card. Most of the chances created were either finding Alex or Robinson on the left. We conceded early and late in the second half, we have to be stronger in some duels and some moments. The crowd pushes a more emotional game. We should have kept ourselves more balanced and don't let emotions go over our decisions.

"We did really well 11 against 11. We had so many moments in the second half three against four. We should have done so much better. Overall, a great job from them.

"I don't want to go into details. The feeling is difficutl to see. Kenny was pulled when he was going for the ball for the first goal. It's difficult. it's a Premier League game, a tough game. Sometimes I wasn't happy with some decisions. Red card is a foul and should be a red card.

"I didn't see these moments but you have them all. If you see all the game then you are going to see 50-50 against them too. You are asking me about two moments from the ref. It's better to talk about the game. Our guys did really well. They reacted really strong. We should have created better chances."

Liverpool

Liverpool boss Arne Slot to BBC Match of the Day: "So many things happened but what stood out for me was how impressive our performance was with 10 men. The result is disappointing if you play at home to Fulham. The game was stopped for so many minutes so maybe that helped us.

"We ran for 11. The players put in an outstanding performance with pressing. We had more problems at 11 v 11 than we did when we were down to 10. It happens in a season that you get a red card. It's good we are a team that is very difficult to beat.

"We had Jota back, Harvey Elliott, we have players back and they showed up. I couldn't have asked for more.

"Jota is so intelligent with his positioning and with what to do with the ball. It was a great team goal. It's nice to have him back, he's been away for two months.

"We lost to Nottingham, Arsenal, Newcastle we dropped points. You can look at it that way but you don't want to drop points in a home game against Forest and Fulham."

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves manager Gary O'Neil speaking to Premier League Productions: "There are some areas in the pitch where we are blessed with quality. Matheus Cunha is a Premier League player, undoubtedly. Nelson Semedo - Premier League player, undoubtedly. Mario Lemina. We are going through the same issues and I will work to fix this and then also in January we can look to do that as well.

"The first place I look is at me. The first place they need to look is at themselves. They have to prove it. They have to step out there and prove it. They are a great group and I will protect them but they get judged on those 90 minutes. Within the game there will be good stuff but it's not enough. We need to win football matches."

It has been a cagey half of football. There has been very few chances, a couple of half chances here and there. Both teams seem very organised defensively, both teams seem very structured and I think that's why we've seen a lack of chances.

That will be that. A pretty dull 45 minutes if we're being honest but a potentially contentious penalty incident is the main talking point.

Matty Cash hits a hard, low drive towards goal but Matz Sels palms it away. It's a bit of an awkward one for the keeper and requires Nikola Milenkovic to make sure it's definitely cleared away from the goal mouth.

Chris Wood looks to try and get his side on the counter attack but there's no one up with him so he has to play it backwards and Villa have the chance to reset.

Jhon Duran hasn't really been involved. He will want to get the ball a lot more but he needs to be patient, his time will come.

Murillo is down in the area and in need of a bit of treatment.

Indeed, Lewis, it hasn't been the most entertaining half so far. Just less than five minutes to go plus stoppages.

It was a good delivery but not much pace on it. It's ever so close from Konsa. Matz Sels is beaten there.

Decent ball into the area but Ezri Konsa can't get his effort on target.

Aston Villa somewhat lifted by that potential penalty incident.

I do like Morgan Rogers when he's on the ball, he's got really nice feet and jinks past players. If he works on his end product a bit more, then he could be a tremendous, tremendous player.

VAR said Elliot Anderson's hold on Morgan Rogers was a "fleeting grab" and not enough to "prevent the player playing the ball". Perhaps slightly contentious.

Anderson brings Rodgers down again and this time the referee gives the foul and Villa have a free-kick 25-yards out.

I thought he had hold of his top there. It started initially outside the box and carried on into the box. I don't know if it was enough to bring Rogers down but it's a risk from the defender.
