Sofia Maatta scored a debut hat-trick for Glasgow City
New signing Sofia Maatta bagged a hat-trick while fellow debutants Nicole Kozlova and Samantha Van Diemen also found the net as Glasgow City coasted to victory at Links Park.
Kozlova put the visitors ahead shortly after the half-hour mark, slotting beneath Montrose goalkeeper Lauren Perry.
Just seconds later City could have had a stunning second as Katy Lockwood attempted a deft chip over the advancing Perry, only for the ball to inch past the far post.
City stepped up through the gears in the second half with a quickfire treble. Maatta stroked home the second before Samantha van Diemen tapped in the third from a corner at point-blank range.
Matta made it four with a blistering long-range effort, Kozlova got her second from a neat cross by Lisa Evans to make it five before the Finn wrapped up her hat-trick with an easy shot low into the corner.
Jo Love completed the scoring with a fierce strike in stoppage time.
