Manchester City have lost two of their last 16 Premier League games against Crystal Palace (W11 D3), though both defeats in this run have come at the Etihad Stadium.
Since Pep Guardiola was appointed Manchester City manager, only Manchester United (3) have won more away league games against the Citizens than Crystal Palace (2).
12 of Manchester City’s last 13 Premier League goals against Crystal Palace have come in the second half of games, including the last 10 in a row. They trailed 2-0 at half-time in this exact fixture last term, before coming back to win 4-2.
Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace won 1-0 at Manchester United earlier this season. The last team to win away at both Manchester clubs in a Premier League season were Leicester in 2020-21, while Hodgson could become the first English manager to do so since Steve McClaren in 2003-04.
Though they’re unbeaten in their last 18 Premier League home games (W15 D3), Man City’s last two at the Etihad Stadium have both finished level (1-1 v Liverpool, 3-3 v Tottenham). They’ve not failed to win three consecutive home league games since October-December 2016, a run of four in which the first three were all draws (L1).
Crystal Palace have won 68.8% of their Premier League points in away games so far this season (11/16), the highest ratio in the division. Three of the Eagles’ four wins so far have come on the road, winning more games in the north west of the country (2) than in London (1).
Crystal Palace have scored a league-low total (3) and percentage (20% - 3/15) of their Premier League goals in the first half of games this season. Indeed, Manchester City have scored six times the amount of first half goals the Eagles have this term (a league-high 18).
Only Arsenal (42) have faced fewer shots on target in the Premier League this season than both Manchester City (49) and Crystal Palace (57). However, the Eagles have conceded 23 goals, with only Brighton (41%) conceding a higher share of their shots on target faced than Roy Hodgson’s side (40%).
Nine of the 27 chances that Bernardo Silva has created for his Man City teammates in the Premier League this season have been big chances (33%). Of all players with at least 20 chances created this term, only Mohamed Salah has a higher share of big chances created (36% - 13/36).
Odsonne Édouard has scored 40% of Crystal Palace’s Premier League goals this season (6/15), the highest share of any player for their team so far this term.
