The big talking point on the pitch at Goodison Park came following Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson's decision not to field youngster Tyler Young against his dad, Everton full-back Ashley Young.

But the main topic of debate around the game was the sacking of Toffees boss Sean Dyche:

    • Was it the right decision?
    • What do you think about the timing?
    • Who should be the next Everton manager?

While it has not been confirmed, the expectation, external is that former boss David Moyes will be asked to take the reins.

They say in football you should never go back, but it has worked for Moyes in the past - the Scot won the Europa Conference League in his second spell at West Ham.

And The Friedkin Group's decision to reappoint Claudio Ranieri at one of their other clubs, Roma, seems to be working out.
