Bournemouth v Southampton (Mon, 20:00 BST)

    Southampton

Southampton manager Russell Martin on the reaction from last weekend's draw with Ipswich: "We had a good week, we won in the cup and then picked up our first point [against Ipswich] - albeit frustrating we didn't win the game.

"There was good stuff, we created a lot of chances, should have scored a couple more goals and didn't, and then we didn't manage the big moment well enough at the end.

"It's all part of the learning for a very young squad. We're in a better place than we were before last week, we're trying to be better all the time, being the team we want to be and Saturday was a step towards that. Now we need to build on that."

On who is available to face Bournemouth on Monday: "No new concerns, we also have nobody coming back.

"The team news is very much the same, I just need to pick the right team to win the game."

They've played another game since, watched the game closely last night against Bolton Wanderers. Our focus is on us so we've got to do everything really really well in the game.

"This is the level we want to be at, these are the games we want to be playing but we want to be playing them with the right attitude, with the right mentality, like I said, with the ambition of being able to succeed and If we can get the result that we're craving for then there's no better time."

Nottingham Forest v Fulham (Sat, 15:00 BST)

    Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo on being one of four unbeaten Premier League teams so far and what kind of statement it would make to extend that run this weekend:

"We are delighted with that statistic and we want it to continue and we have to work very hard to achieve it. It’s about how we want to progress as a team and what is important now is that every player is putting the team ahead of the individual and that will allow us the coaching staff to work and prepare for each game."

  5. Everton have to 'get winning edge back'published at 14:20 British Summer Time 26 September

Everton v Crystal Palace (Sat, 15:00 BST)

    Everton

Everton boss Sean Dyche on whether his side's mentality has shifted following the draw with Leicester: "The thing that I've mentioned is trying to mould together the new players coming in, get them up to Premier League standard - and I think they're showing good signs of doing.

"Our attack, I think we've done better - certainly the last two or three games; we're scoring and looking a really threat, I thought we did that against Leicester. And then it's finding that balance to tighten up at the other end of the pitch, to which last season we did so well. Especially last season, when we needed to find clean sheets and we did.

"The change in the side, the change in the players, maybe learning that and getting up to speed quickly. The defensive unit coming together and joining all the dots. It sounds easy, but clearly it's not, and we know we have to do it better.

"I think there have been better signs, but those better signs have got to bring wins, and I think that's got to be the biggest change, getting that winning edge back."

    Breaking

The Football Assocation have charged for Preston North End forward Milutin Osmajic, who appeared to bite Blackburn Rovers' Owen Beck in the 87th minute during Sunday's derby.

Beck was sent off in the 89th minute of the match for kicking out at Preston's Duane Holmes. He then protested to the referee that he had been bitten by Osmajic, who was given a yellow card.

Osmajic, who is still eligible to play for the Lilywhites on Saturday against Millwall, has until Monday to respond to the charge.

  7. Team news: Branthwaite 'in front of the curve'published at 14:12 British Summer Time 26 September

Everton v Crystal Palace (Sat, 15:00 BST)

    Everton

Everton boss Sean Dyche on his squad for the game against Crystal Palace: "Certainly, Jarrad Branthwaite is in front of the curve compared to Nathan Patterson: Pato has had a much longer period out and a more serious injury. He's doing very well at the moment but he's been out for a longer period.

"Idrissa Gana Gueye, unfortunately lost his father, so he was away and in Senegal, so he's had seven days without training. Vitalii Mykolenko is well again, so that's good, but Seamus Coleman, Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti will take longer.

"We are beginning to look a bit more rounded as a squad, particularly compared to as little as 10 days ago."

  8. Everton have 'got to get back to winning games'published at 14:08 British Summer Time 26 September

Everton v Crystal Palace (Sat, 15:00 BST)

    Everton

Everton boss Sean Dyche on where he sees his future at the club if The Friedkin Group deal goes through: "They'll have a view on what their thinking is with the club, what they want going forward, so until I know more about that, then my situation doesn't change.

"I'll just keep working hard as I have been doing with my staff and the players to change the current situation, the bigger situation. There has been a lot of change - and good change, I think. But the current situation, of course, needs changing. We've got to get back to winning games."

  9. 'Early signs look favourable'published at 14:05 British Summer Time 26 September

Everton v Crystal Palace (Sat, 15:00 BST)

    Everton

Everton boss Sean Dyche on his reaction to The Friedkin Group's deal to buy the club: "There's a long way to go, as I gather from the previous situations, there's a long way to go to get everything to a final point.

"But the early signs look favourable in the situation, so we'll have to wait and see. But it certainly looks like a stronger situation than past."

On what the deal could bring to the club: "Openly speaking, hopefully stability to the club, because it's been on unsettled ground for such a long time now; varying opinions on what was and what is and what should be. So I imagine it would clear up that kind of change in the noise, as i call it.

"Certainly in its initial spell, should it get over the line, it should bring the stability and that feel of stability."

Dyche adds he hasn't spoken to the new owners, and also doesn't know when he is likely to meet them - if at all.

  13. 'It's these games that you've really got to embrace'published at 13:53 British Summer Time 26 September

Arsenal v Leicester City (Sat, 15:00 BST)

    Leicester City

Leicester City manager Steve Cooper on whether this is his toughest test yet: "Yeah definitely. I think it would have been, even if the results and points had been different.

"We're coming up against an incredible team, that have been in great form now for a number of years and have been really challenging for Premier Leagues and cup competitions and in other seasons they would have, certainly with the points they got, they could have won the league so we are coming up against a really tough opponent.

"At their home as well, but it's these games that you've really got to embrace, you've got to go in there with the anticipation of succeeding and not fearing failure. It couldn't be a better time to get the result we're all craving for."

Leicester City manager Steve Cooper on his role as a manager in Leicester's winless run: "I've always said, if you don't like that then don't take these jobs in the first place. So I accept that.

"I'll just repeat what I said the other night, I will always try and understand fans' perspective and opinions and my first initial reaction is to not be too defensive, to see the rational of where feeling may be, the way it is and in the end try to do something about it.

"So, I'm no different to anybody else, in terms of never being too far from some questioning or criticism or challenging and if it's at my door, this moment in time, then it's on I accept. but I think it's a good opportunity to show the real me in this case, to show how well I want to do here, how strong I am as a character and obviously you want to show how good you are as a manager as well. The real leaders and characters are the ones that face up to difficult times."

Bournemouth v Southampton (Mon, 20:00 BST)

    Southampton

Six teams in the Premier League are searching for their first win of the 2024-25 campaign - and Russell Martin's Southampton are one of them.

Saints looked certain to be heading for three points at home last weekend against Ipswich but instead were left down in the dumps when Sam Morsy scored a dramatic injury-time equaliser for the victors.

Martin said he was "really angry and annoyed" after the late goal, but maybe the sliver of hope for Southampton is that the draw did end their miserable run of four consecutive Premier League defeats.

The talk of a takeover is never far away if you're an Everton fan and on Monday, The Friedkin Group reached an agreement to buy Farhad Moshiri's majority 94% stake in the club.

The deal is subject to regulatory approval from the Premier League, the Football Association and the Financial Conduct Authority.

It is believed to be worth in excess of £400m, leaving Moshiri with little return on his substantial investment.

The US-based group is led by chairman Dan Friedkin, who also owns Roma. He has a net worth of £5.7bn according to Forbes., external

Everton would become the 10th club in the Premier League under majority American ownership.

Could this finally be the stability and new ear the Toffees have been searching for? Only time well tell.

Moyes should never have been replaced. Yes, at times it was hard to watch, but overall he achieved more than any other manager in recent times. We're likely to be knee deep in a relegation battle come October, if I was Moyes I'd say "no thanks" and let the 'Moyes Out/ brigade have their cake.
