While geographically not a local derby, both clubs' history gives this tie plenty of spice for supporters of both stripes.

Wimbledon FC relocated to Milton Keynes in 2003, changing their name to MK Dons in the summer of 2004 and causing consternation among diehards back in south London.

And so AFC Wimbledon were formed as a phoenix club, and 22 years later the sides are on an equal footing, separated by just two points and five places in League Two.

It's fair to say that MK have enjoyed the better of things in their 16 meetings, winning nine and losing just four, including in their only FA Cup clash in 2012-13.

But, and this is an important but, Wimbledon have won the last two in completing a league double over their rivals last season.

Johnnie Jackson's side are not in the best run of form, losing four of their last five in all competitions, but have fallen at the FA Cup first round stage just once in their last eight campaigns.

Craig Lindsey's MK Dons, meanwhile, have been KO'd in four of their last six first-round ties in the competition.

    Sutton v Birmingham (12:30 GMT)

Sutton boss and former Millwall and Leeds striker Steve Morison has made two changes to the side that won at Braintree in the National League eight days ago.

Finley Barbrook and Jayden Harris come in for Ashley Nadesan and Dillon de Silva.

Sutton: Sims; Coley, French (c), Kirk, Waller; Sivi, Barbrook, Odelusi; J. Harris, Davies, Vaz.

Substitutes: Arnold (GK), Okoli, Rush, de Silva, Muller, Boateng, Nadesan.

There are seven changes to Birmingham's side that thrashed Fulham Under-21s in the EFL Trophy in midweek.

But crucially head coach Chris Davies has only made one alteration from the XI on duty in their last League One match with Luke Harris replacing Scotland striker Lyndon Dykes.

Birmingham: Allsop; Laird, Klarer (c), B. Davies, Cochrane, Paik, Iwata, Willumsson, Harris, Anderson, Stansfield.

Substitutes: Peacock-Farrell (GK), Gardner-Hickman, Sanderson, Sampsted, Leonard, Yokoyama, May, Dykes, Jutkiewicz.

As lower league teams go, they don't get much bigger than Birmingham. The League One leaders are in the first round of the competition for the first time since 1994 and they were the prized draw for any non-league club.

National League Sutton United were the ones to get this plum home draw in front of live TV cameras.

Currently 12th, they are back at this level after three seasons in League Two, they must overcome a gap of 59 places to topple Blues.

However, Sutton have plenty of cup pedigree. In 1989, they famously toppled then top-division Coventry in the third round. And in 2017, they beat Leeds on their way to the fifth round where they lost to Arsenal.

So Birmingham should be fully aware of the pitfalls of a trip down Gander Green Lane.
