    Bromley 2-0 Gillingham

Bromley send a dangerous cross in, from the nearside, towards the back post.

It lands neatly for a Ravens player (couldn't quite clock who) but they make a mess of it and the ball rolls out of play.

Gillingham already on the back foot.

    • Bristol Rovers have won three consecutive league games for the first time since October 2022. Their 3-2 win at Newport was just the second time since the start of last season that they netted 3+ goals in an away league match (also 3-1 v Burton Albion in Oct 2024).
    • After his start for Tranmere against Salford today, goalkeeper Joe Murphy became the first 44+ year old to play in the EFL since a 46-year-old Barry Richardson for Wycombe v Plymouth in January 2016.
    • Salford fired in 27 shots in their 3-1 win over Tranmere – only once have they ever had more in a home game in League Two, recording 30 v Barrow in February 2024.
    • Isaac Hutchinson was the first player to score on his league debut for Cheltenham since Luke Young against Grimsby in August 2024, and first player to score a direct free-kick goal for the club in the league since Luke Young again in December 2024 v Gillingham.
    • Sam Clucas scored the 50th league goal of his career in England’s top four tiers, with Shrewsbury the eighth different club he has scored those goals for (also Stoke, Chesterfield, Hull, Mansfield, Swansea, Lincoln and Rotherham).

    • Lincoln City’s James Collins scored the 200th and 201st league goals of his career in the EFL today (68 Luton, 42 Shrewsbury, 25 Derby, 20 Crawley, 15 Swindon, 14 Lincoln, 8 Northampton, 4 Burton Albion, 3 Cardiff, 2 Darlington). Since the EFL rebrand in 2004, he is only the third player to score 200+ goals across the Championship, League One, and League Two, after Billy Sharp (254) and Jordan Rhodes (220).
    • Sharp has now scored in each of his last nine league appearances against Bradford City, a run that began in 2006, with the Bantams the second side he has scored 10+ goals against in his EFL career (also 10 v Blackpool).
    • Will Swan became the first player to score in four consecutive league appearances for Bradford City since Nahki Wells in August 2013.
    • Plymouth scored three goals from outside the box against Stockport County, the first time on Opta’s records (from 2013-14) they did so in a single league game, and first by any side in League One since Exeter v Bristol Rovers in December 2022.
    • Since the EFL rebrand in 2004, Peterborough are just the seventh side to pick up one point (or fewer) in their opening seven games of a League One season – four of the previous six were relegated, with three of those coming in the past two seasons (Cheltenham and Fleetwood in 2023-24, Cambridge in 2024-25).

    Bromley 2-0 Gillingham

The sun continues to shine at Hayes Lane and it's shining down on Bromley who look supremely comfortable with their 2-0 lead over Gillingham.

Goals from Nicke Kabamba and Michael Cheek have them comfortable ahead.

A rare attack from Gillingham ends with a contested header that's whipped in from the far side.

  15. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Bromley 2-0 Gillingham

Bromley have a free-kick on the far side corner of the Gillingham box, right on the edge.

It's a tight angle but an opportunity to get a third?

But the Gills wall does its job and charges the ball down.

    Just a few minutes left.

  16. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Bromley 2-0 Gillingham

A dangerous ball into Gillingham's Josh Andrews just inside the box.

He looks up and shoots low with his left foot, the Bromley keeper is already down, and saves with his legs.

That's the Gills' best chance so far.

  17. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Bromley 2-0 Gillingham

Gillingham's Jonny Williams tries his luck and uncorks a low strike from well outside the Bromley box.

    Can Gillingham get one back?

Gillingham just can't get the ball out of their own half and they're giving the ball away cheaply.

Bromley are absolutely rampant and dominating possession.
