Swindon go top of the league following a convincing 3-1 win over a struggling Barrow.

Ten-man Walsall hold on, quite comfortably in fact, to beat Chesterfield 1-0 and join Swindon on 15 points.

Three punishing first-half goals from Grimsby dispatched ten-man MK Dons 3-2 and they move up to 4th.

After a goalless first half, Salford took the shackles off after the break and ran away with the game, beating Tranmere 3-1.

    Shrewsbury outclassed Barnet 3-1.

It ended 1-1 between Colchester and Crewe.

Elsewhere, Notts County, ten-man Crawley, Cheltenham and Oldham won their matches 1-0 against Fleetwood, Harrogate, Accrington and Cambridge United respectively.

And Bristol Rovers beat Newport 3-2 in the early kick-off.

    Wycombe 2-0 Mansfield

Having not won once coming into the game, Wycombe really needed a comfortable afternoon and that is exactly what they got.

Mansfield barely looked threatening at all, and Sam Bell's debut goal gave the home side a first-half lead. Cauley Woodrow converted a second-half penalty and that was pretty much game over after 52 minutes.

The win lifts Wycombe up to 19th in the table, five points and eight places below Mansfield.

  3. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:58 British Summer Time 6 September

    Huddersfield 3-2 Peterborough

Four straight home wins for Town and an eighth defeat in nine games in all competitions for Posh.

After a dismal first half, Posh went ahead when Jimmy-Jay Morgan's rear-end deflected in a Harry Leonard free-kick, but two goals in seven minutes from Will Alves and Herbie Kane turned the tide.

Joe Taylor added a cool third, having spurned a golden chance to score a little earlier when he was clean through only to hit the post.

Cian Hayes pulled one back in the dying seconds but there was no time for a grandstand finish.

    Plymouth 4-2 Stockport

After five wins in six matches, this feels like the start of something for Plymouth.

Kyle Wootton's own goal put them ahead and Caleb Watts swerved home a fine second.

Ollie Norwood's controversial penalty halved the arrears before the break, but Argyle regrouped after the interval with Bradley Ibrahim finding the bottom corner and Lorent Tolaj stroking his first league goal for the Greens, before Wootton scored at the right end in the dying seconds.

A day to forget for Stockport as their eight-match away unbeaten streak is brought to a end.

  5. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:57 British Summer Time 6 September

    Walsall 1-0 Chesterfield

Four wins in a row for Walsall.

Manager Mat Sadler punches the air.

Daniel Kanu, on loan from Charlton, scored in the 43rd minute and the 10-man Saddlers hung on to claim all three points.

They jump to 2nd in League Two.

Disappointment for Chesterfield who never really came to life in this match.

    Walsall 1-0 Chesterfield

Chesterfield just cannot get an equaliser.

    Doncaster 3-1 Bradford

The Bantams are beaten for the first time this season as Rovers take the bragging rights and go level at the top of the table.

They did the work in the first half with Luke Molyneux heading an early opener, and though Will Swan levelled with his fourth goal in as many games, Jordan Gibson and the evergreen Billy Sharp found the net to secure the points before the interval.

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:53 British Summer Time 6 September

    Doncaster 3-1 Bradford

A fine reaction save from Sam Walker, getting down to his left to deny George Broadbent's first-time shot.

Won't affect the result though, we're deep into six added minutes now.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:52 British Summer Time 6 September

    Wycombe 2-0 Mansfield

Two late Mansfield changes for Mansfield. Tyler Roberts and Nathan Moriah-Welsh are off, Joe Gardner and Aaron Lewis are on.

  12. goal

  13. 'I'm not sensing a goal'published at 16:49 British Summer Time 6 September

    Walsall 1-0 Chesterfield

    Lee Turnbull
Former Chesterfield striker on BBC Radio Sheffield

I'm not sensing a goal and Chesterfield aren't throwing themselves forward and having shot after shot or chance after chance.

You get the feeling the Spireites won't finish this game as the better side.

  14. Postpublished at 16:45 British Summer Time 6 September

    Walsall 1-0 Chesterfield

    Ball issues?

The referee Zac Kennard-Kettle isn't happy with it this second half. He's halted the game a couple of times to check it out and give it a squish in his hands.

Meanwhile, Chesterfield are rapidly running out of time to find an equaliser against ten men.

  15. Postpublished at 16:44 British Summer Time 6 September

    Doncaster 3-1 Bradford

Doncaster are seeing this out nicely with some solid defending, most recently Josh Neufville getting in down the right but seeing his low cross into the danger zone well cleared.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:42 British Summer Time 6 September

    Huddersfield 2-1 Peterborough

Alfie May has been sent on for Town, in place of Marcus Harness, as they seek a goal which would surely secure the points, and leave Posh with one point from seven matches.

    #bbcefl

Swindon are heading for another win - literally. Princewill Ehibhatiomhan with a diving header at the back post from six yards out. Barrow got one back minutes later through Lewis Shipley - but is too little too late?

Salford lead Tranmere 2-1, Cole Stockton scoring in the 81st minute.

Colchester have drawn level with Crewe 1-1 thanks to a Kyreece Lisbie header from a free-kick.

  18. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:41 British Summer Time 6 September

    Plymouth 4-1 Stockport

Kyle Wootton put the ball into this net from a corner earlier on, this time it's a Stockport corner, Ollie Norwood swings it in and Wootton glances a header which kisses the far post on its way behind for a goal kick.

    Not his day...

  19. Postpublished at 16:41 British Summer Time 6 September

    Wycombe 2-0 Mansfield

Wycombe look very comfortable at Adams Park, cruising to a first win of the season.

After a bright, energetic start to the second half, Mansfield have retreated again.

They are still without a shot on target in the second half as Bradley Fink fires over in search of a Wycombe third.

  20. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:36 British Summer Time 6 September

    Huddersfield 2-1 Peterborough

How has Joe Taylor not scored?

He beats keeper Alex Bass to the ball 40 yards from goal, he's driven wide right but gathers the ball, dribbles into the box rather than trying a first time shot, jinks inside the defender and the recovering Bass, only to thump a left-footed shot into the upright, with the rebound sent inches wide too.

Huddersfield should have daylight... but they do not.
