  3. Postecoglou 'super proud' of how Spurs bounced back from defeat at Liverpoolpublished at 14:17 British Summer Time 2 May

West Ham v Tottenham (Sun, 14:00 BST)

    Tottenham Hotspur

On last night's Europa League semi-final first leg win over Bodo/Glimt, Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou said: "If you can get an advantage after the first game, it's always a good thing.

"When you put in a [good] performance, it gives you belief and confidence about what's to come. It's halfway in the tie and we've given ourselves a good chance of progressing if we perform in the same way.

"All the way through Europe, we've hit some really good levels and played some really good football. We've faced some difficult challenges and overcome them in a real composed manner. I was super proud of us.

"It was a difficult day for us last weekend (5-1 loss at Liverpool). You never want to dismiss those experiences, you need to learn from them. They need to make you angry and disappointed, and we were.

"I didn't let the players off the hook with that, but at the same time we had to refocus pretty quickly for what was a really important game. I was really pleased with the players' mentality, which has been really strong all the way through the European campaign."

    • Crystal Palace (H)
    • Aston Villa (A)

  7. Spurs waiting for results of Maddison scanpublished at 14:04 British Summer Time 2 May

West Ham v Tottenham (Sun, 14:00 BST)

    Tottenham Hotspur

Here's Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou with those fitness updates on Lucas Bergvall, Dominic Solanke and James Maddison after last night's Europa League win:

"It looks like Lucas' injury is significant enough to keep him out for the rest of the season. He tweaked some ligaments in his ankle so he's out.

"Dom's not too bad. He's still a bit sore from last night but we don't think it's anything serious. He's a doubt for the weekend, but we hope it'll settle down pretty quickly.

"Mad's a bit more of a concern because it's his knee but we've sent him for a scan. We're just waiting for the outcome."

As for captain Son Heung-min, he added: "Son's working hard, he's progressing. He's still doing individual [training] but he's out on the grass and feels better every day. We'll see how he's going by Thursday, whether he'll be available for next Thursday."

Isak to score 12 in his last 4 games to fire Newcastle into the Champions League, then tell us he's signing for Liverpool in a £150 million deal. Could happen.

Beating Mohamed Salah to the Golden Boot in the process? I'm sure that would go down well with his new team-mate...

  10. Amorim highlights Casemiro & Amad positivespublished at 13:58 British Summer Time 2 May

Brentford v Man Utd (Sun, 14:00 BST)

    Manchester United

Ruben Amorim also highlight the performance of Casimero and return from injury of Amad Diallo as two big positives from Manchester United's Europa League semi-final win at Athletic Bilbao:

"Casemiro improves a lot, works hard, he's a good example. From not playing, with Collier in front of him, it is now hard to take him out.

"He is a lesson for all players here - no matter the past, everything can change."

On Diallo's return, Amorim added: "[Not having him has been] tough for us. He was the player that created all our [attacking] situations before he was injured. We don't have many with his left foot characteristics, 1v1, so [his return is] massive."

  11. 'Mazraoui cannot play...players under risk will not play'published at 13:55 British Summer Time 2 May

Brentford v Man Utd (Sun, 14:00 BST)

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim says that defender Noussair Mazraoui "cannot play" in Sunday's game at Brenford because of injury, while others at risk of injury will be assessed today.

He added that the club must balance the need to achieve the best possible finish in the Premier League with the importance of their quest to win the Europa League, which comes with the added bonus of a place in next season's Champions League.

"It is hard to separate games, [with our] responsibility [in the Premier League] we must take risks," said Amorim, immediately after Thursday's Europa League semi-final win at Athletic Bilbao.

"Mazraoui cannot play, at limit of injury. We have to be clear, focus is to save players and be competitive.

"Players under risk of injury will not play. We will assess tomorrow [Friday] and next day [Saturday].

"We must be careful, we are Manchester United - must think we can win the game.

"Some players understand if you play Sunday you can play Thursday.

"We must show the importance of each game. You get more money for every place in the Premier League, but we must also be competitive in the Europa League. Lots to balance."

  13. 'We'll see today' on Nkunku & Sanchez injuries - team newspublished at 13:46 British Summer Time 2 May

Chelsea v Liverpool (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Chelsea

A final word from Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, with the latest injury updates on Christopher Nkunku and goalkeeper Robert Sanchez: "The medical staff are going to tell me something more today.

"It's exactly the same with Robert. He is working already on the pitch, so I think probably compared to Christo it's a better situation, but we'll see today."

  14. 'For sure' - Maresca on whether Chelsea need to strengthenpublished at 13:44 British Summer Time 2 May

Chelsea v Liverpool (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Chelsea

On closing that gap to the champions next season, Enzo Maresca has been discussing whether Chelsea need to invest in more experienced players - like Liverpool did with the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Alisson - to improve their title chances:

"For sure, if you want to close the gap with these kind of clubs then, for sure, you have to do things.

"Our team next season will be better also in terms of experience because this season has been one more year together.

"There are ones who are growing, like Levi [Colwill] for instance. He is growing a lot in terms of leadership. For sure, next year he will be better and better.

"Hopefully the ones that we have, they can grow and help us in terms of experience."

On whether the guard of honour will give Chelsea players an insight into what it means to win the Premier League: "I don't think we need that to understand how good it is to win the Premier League. I think we know that it's something very nice. But for sure, when you are there [giving Liverpool a guard of honour], probably in their mind, our players are thinking 'I would like one day to be there'."

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that the club will give Liverpool's players a guard of honour before Sunday's match at Stamford Bridge:

"Yes. It's tradition. We have to do that, and we are going to do that. They won the Premier League, so. they deserve it."

On the gap between Chelsea and Liverpool: "It is there, you can see this clearly. My feeling is we are [moving] in the right direction and hopefully this gap can be smaller and smaller and smaller."

On what has changed since Chelsea last played Liverpool when Arne Slot said his side were outplayed: "The difference is they have been consistent compared to us. For part of the season we were very good, and then we lost some games. This has probably been the main reason why.

"And also in terms of experienced players that know how to win games and these kinds of things, I think they have something more compared to us."

Has anyone got any outlandish predictions for these final four rounds of Premier League fixtures?

I appreciate this is limited somewhat by the title and relegation situations already resolved...

But are Arsenal going to go all-in on the Champions League and drop out the top five? Will Bournemouth win all their remaining games and replace them up there?

Do Southampton double their points tally and make it off the bottom? Maybe Mohamed Salah doesn't win the golden boot?

  20. We've shown all season we can beat the good teams - Iraolapublished at 13:25 British Summer Time 2 May

Arsenal v Bournemouth (Sat, 17:30 BST)

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth host relegated Leicester on the final day but before that visit Arsenal and Manchester City, either side of a home game against Aston Villa.

On if his side have the hardest final four games out of the teams chasing European qualification, manager Andoni Iraola said: "Probably, yes. Man City and Aston Villa are fighting for the Champions League, even Arsenal isn't 100%.

"It's difficult to play these teams at the end of the season when they are very close to achieving important things, but we have to face it in the same way.

"I think in the past we were playing good against these teams but not getting the results. Especially the result against Arsenal (2-0 win in October), it made us believe. We have to be very good, but we've shown all this season that we can beat the good teams."
