'There's a generation of England players that expect to win' - Carsley

Nine players called Jones, you could almost make an XI!

I've had a look through the list and, annoyingly, we're missing a keeper.

The rest I can work with, Phil Jones for instance can play anywhere.

Williams Jones only won one cap for England back in 1901. He's a right half, apparently. Is that a right midfielder to you and me?

Curtis Jones became the ninth Jones to play for England, after Alf, Bill, Harry, Herbert, Mick, Phil, Rob and William. The only surname to provide more England players is Smith (20).

My thanks to Opta for a top-tier stat.

Curtis Jones has been increasing his claims for a full England cap with an impressive season at Liverpool, so it was a dream night for the midfielder when he not only finally made his full international bow, but crowned it with a moment laced with confidence and genius.

England were already on their way to the win as silence descended on the packed Olympic Stadium in Greece, leaving Liverpool-born Jones to provide the perfect ending to a hugely satisfying evening.

Jones had already shown several pieces of sleight of foot, as well as composure in possession, but there was rare audacity about the manner in which he flicked a finish across Greece keeper Odysseas Vlachodimos with the inside of his right heel from Morgan Gibbs-White's delivery.

England impressively beat Greece 3-0 in Athens on Thursday night and will return to the top tier of the Uefa Nations League with victory over the Republic of Ireland at Wembley on Sunday.

Ollie Watkins turned in Noni Madueke's cross to give England the lead in the seventh minute.

England's second had a hint of fortune when Jude Bellingham's shot hit a post and ricocheted into the net off Greece keeper Odysseas Vlachodimos after 77 minutes.

Six minutes later Liverpool's Curtis Jones added a third with a flicked finish to convert Morgan Gibbs-White's cross.

Good morning. It's nowhere near as cold as it was yesterday so we're already winning!

Only one place to start, the Uefa Nations League Group B2.

Last night England thumped Greece 3-0 in Athens. And goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher starred as the Republic of Ireland beat Finland.
