I was supposed to be getting an 8am flight to Rome from Liverpool with my 13-year-old daughter. I realised at the gate that I had brought my wife and son's passports. Quickly booked a flight from Manchester, via Brussels, to Rome (I won't go into the cost) so we are currently sat in Brussels awaiting our connecting flight. My massive City fan mate picked me up from Liverpool to drive us to Manchester Airport. Rome to Bilbao tomorrow morning then our journey will be complete!

Back in town they are indeed, Craig, and they will be joining us very soon for their pre-match news conference.

    Well, not all of them.

Manager Ruben Amorim will be facing questions from the media alongside captain Bruno Fernandes and defender Harry Maguire in the next few minutes or so.

The news conference is available for you to watch and listen to live, simply click 'Watch live' at the top of the page.

Hold off the search teams, we can confirm that Manchester United are safely in Bilbao.

We have pictorial evidence of them landing at the airport at least...

If it feels like only a few weeks ago that they were last in the de facto Basque capital then that's because it was.

Ruben Amorim's side enjoyed quite a decent night on their last visit to the San Mames Stadium, beating Athletic Bilbao 3-0 in the first leg of their last-four encounter on 1 May to effectively seal a place in Wednesday's final.

It's just a happy coincidence that the final is being held at the same venue.

I wonder what kind of welcome they have received from the hosts?

  6. Where the final will be won and lost - Europe has suited Amorim systempublished at 18:16 British Summer Time 20 May

Tottenham v Man Utd (Wed, 20:00 BST)

Tottenham have a far better goal ratio than Manchester United in the Premier League as they average 1.7 goals per game (63 from 37 games).

However, United's goal differential in Europe is far greater than Tottenham's as Spurs have scored 27 goals from 14 Europa League games at an average of 1.9 goals per game.

To summarise, the 3-4-2-1 system favoured by United's head coach Ruben Amorim has brought them far more joy in Europe than it has in the Premier League.

United are the only unbeaten side in major European competition this season (9 wins, 5 draws) while Tottenham have lost twice in the Europa League (9 wins, 3 draws).

United have scored more goals than Tottenham in Europe (35-27) but Spurs have conceded fewer goals (18-13).

Quite a lot of Ruben Amorim's Manchester United side tomorrow night picks itself.

But there are some issues for Amorim to wrestle with.

Is Diogo Dalot fit enough to start at right wing-back after missing a month with a calf injury? If so, that would allow Noussair Mazaouri to drop into United's three-man defence. If not, does Leny Yoro start with Harry Maguire and will he be joined by Luke Shaw or Victor Lindelof?

Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes will start but will they play alongside each other in midfield or will the United skipper move forward, which would offer a chance to Manuel Ugarte?

If not, does Alejandro Garnacho partner Amad Diallo in attack or is there a chance Mason Mount might start?

Few think Rasmus Hojlund will be sacrificed but don't forget Erik ten Hag used a false nine in last season's FA Cup final win over Manchester City and Kobbie Mainoo could be quite adept there.

I doubt we will get any answers from Amorim tonight. But there are questions for him to deal with.

  10. Diallo the difference maker?published at 18:03 British Summer Time 20 May

There's no denying that Manchester United look a more threatening proposition when Amad Diallo is on the field.

The young winger was absent from the middle of February to the end of April with an ankle injury.

He missed 15 games in all competitions with United winning just four of those - two of which came against the relegated Ipswich Town and Leicester City.

Diallo has 10 goals and nine assists in all competitions this season which include a couple of memorable match winning moments against Southampton and Manchester City.

Now back to full fitness, a match winning moment on Wednesday evening would surpass everything that the 22-year-old has achieved to date.

Tottenham and Manchester United have been frustrated by individual errors in the Premier League this season.

Tottenham have had 11 errors that have led to a goal, putting them seventh on the overall list.

Manchester United (13) are one of the teams above Spurs, with only two teams having had more errors which have led to a goal - Southampton (19) and Chelsea (14).

Only four players have committed more of those errors in the Premier League than Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana (3), who was dropped for one game after being at fault for both goals as United drew 2-2 in their Europa League quarter-final first leg at Lyon.

    Busy one today, isn't it?

Ruben Amorim has a job on his hands to outdo Ange Postecoglou's news conference - and that's before thinking about the game tomorrow!

We'll be with him in around 30 minutes or so.

Before that though, a bit of preview from the United camp.

Keep sending your snaps in from your travels to Bilbao too, or from in and around the area if you're there already. Some corkers so far.

Talking about being in transit. We had this from Spurs fan Ian earlier. For some reason, I've been humming the Friends theme tune ever since reading his message...

My lower luggage rack seat. The Eurostar was 1 hour late. We missed our connection so there are no seats left. The car rental will have closed when we get there so hopefully we can get off early and rearrange. We'll be there for Ange.

There is going to be a quick turnaround at the San Mames Stadium, with Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim and senior players Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire due to hold their news conference at 18:30 BST.

We have not seen any images of the squad on Spanish soil yet, but the club did post an image of Fernandes and Joshua Zirkzee, external on the flight over to Bilbao about two hours ago.

    Tottenham Hotspur

Whatever position Son Heung-min plays, you can be certain he will be going all out to make sure he replicates his "best mate" Harry Kane and brings home a first trophy as a Spurs player.

The South Korea forward was asked whether he feels like it is "now or never" for him winning a trophy at Tottenham: "In the future we never know. We might play next year's Champions League or we might play in the final. We never know, but the chance I have now is real, it’s a fact.

"Tomorrow is a final, a Europa League final. This could be my last chance or there could be another chance, but I just want to concentrate about tomorrow - winning and lifting the trophy with the boys, celebrating together."

Tottenham v Man Utd (Wed, 20:00 BST)

    Holly Bacon

The session has cranked up a bit.

Two small-sided teams could be seen running through a drill. In one team, Son Heung-min looked to be on the left, with Wilson Odobert playing as the 10 behind Dominic Solanke.

One of the talking points ahead of tomorrow's final is who will play as the 10.

But how much can we take from this? It is, of course, an open training session - Ruben Amorim might be watching it right here on the BBC Sport live page!
