Tottenham have lost three of their last four Premier League games against Wolves, including the last two in a row. They’ve never lost three consecutive league matches against them before.
Following their 2-1 win at Molineux in November, Wolves are looking to complete their first league double over Tottenham since 2009-10.
Since their return to the Premier League in 2018, only Chelsea and Liverpool (4 each) have won more away games against Tottenham than Wolves (3).
Wolverhampton Wanderers have won two of their last three away Premier League games (D1), as many as in their previous 17 combined (W2 D3 L12). They’ve netted eight goals in their last three on the road, having only scored 10 goals in their previous 12 away games.
Only Liverpool (10) have won more Premier League home games this season than Tottenham (9), who have won their last five at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs could reach 10 wins in as few as 13 home matches from the start of a Premier League campaign for only a third time, after 2011-12 (first 13) and 2016-17 (first 12).
Wolves have won their last two Premier League games in London, having gone 14 without a win in the capital beforehand (D3 L11). They last won three consecutive top-flight away games in London back in September 1979.
Since losing 1-0 to Wolves in March 2023, Tottenham Hotspur have scored in each of their last 36 Premier League matches. In Premier League history, the only team with a longer scoring run is Arsenal between May 2001 and November 2002 (55).
Son Heung-min has been directly involved in nine goals in his last eight Premier League appearances (4 goals, 5 assists), assisting Brennan Johnson’s winner for Tottenham against Brighton last time out on his return from the Asian Cup. The South Korean’s 18 goals and assists this season have been worth 16 points to Spurs, with only Mohamed Salah’s goal involvements being worth more for a side in the top-flight this term (18).
Matheus Cunha has scored seven away Premier League goals for Wolves this season. Only two players have ever scored more on the road in a season for the club – Steven Fletcher in 2011-12 (8) and Raúl Jiménez in 2019-20 (9).
Tottenham’s Brennan Johnson has scored in two of his last three Premier League appearances, with both coming as a substitute. The only Spurs player to score in three sub appearances in a row was Teddy Sheringham in 1994.
