Burnley's Zian Flemming is one to watch today. He's scored three times in eight Premier League appearances this season, and netted in their last outing, a 3-2 loss at West Ham.

The striker is finding form at a time when the Clarets need goals.

To be honest, the only issue I have with the starting line up is Tosin because he's been way off his best lately and culpable for some of the late goals we've conceded. Unfortunately, the bench isn't that strong in that area, so we'll see how that pans out today..

  6. 'We are going to have to be at our optimum'published at 12:10 GMT

    Burnley v Chelsea (12:30 GMT)

    Burnley

Burnley boss Scott Parker speaking to TNT Sports: "It is definitely important to see a response to what we saw last time. We fell a little bit short in some key moments in terms of focus and set piece set up and we definitely need to be better in that today. We have done very well, certainly at home, and we are looking forward to this game today."

On Chelsea: "A big challenge ahead of us, a very well coached team with huge quality in their side. As always they come here, away from home, early kick off, and we need to take the game to them.

"We are going to have to be at our optimum in every phase of our game today. We need to try to bring some intensity into this stadium and make it uncomfortable, and then try to show our qualities in our moments as well. Try to be brave. We have prepped well and we are looking forward to it."

    Don't read on Burnley fans....

Burnley have lost four of their last six Premier League matches, conceding two or more goals in five of those games.

The Clarets have kept just two clean sheets in their last 31 Premier League games, shipping 64 goals in this period (2.1 per game).

Moises Caicedo played two 90 minute friendly matches with Ecuador during the international break and then squeezed in a bit of family time before coming back.

The 24-year-old midfielder was given permission by Chelsea to squeeze in a chance to celebrate his child's first birthday in Ecuador before coming back.

It was a very short celebration after a 2-0 win over New Zealand, with a helicopter used to shorten the journey back to the airport, and then he landed overnight on Thursday.

This was the last chance Caicedo will have until March to go home to his family with a busy schedule in English football to come.

  11. 'The reason he is not playing is that it is impossible'published at 11:58 GMT

    Burnley v Chelsea (12:30 GMT)

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca speaking to TNT Sports: "If you can keep the momentum it is always important, knowing very game is different, every game is tough. We need to go one by on."

On Cole Palmer's absence: "Yes it was also tough to lose him for the previous games but to lose a player like Cole is always difficult, but soon he will be with us."

On Wesley Fofana not being involved: "Just to manage him and protect him a little bit. He is playing, he is good and he is fit and we are very happy with that."

On Moises Caicedo being on the bench: "Nothing [to do with Barcelona and Arsenal]. The reason he is not in the first eleven is that came back Thursday night from Ecuador, from the national team, then just a light session with us yesterday, and the reason he is not playing is that it is impossible. To protect him a little bit.

On his 50th Premier League game in charge at Chelsea: "Happy. Happy to join this huge club and I'm excited for the amount of things we can do.

On Burnley: "Big challenge. First of all they are a good team and they are with the same manager from last year winning the Championship, and they are doing well and fighting every game. So it will be tough for sure."

  17. Sutton's predictions: Burnley v Chelseapublished at 11:42 GMT

    Burnley v Chelsea (12:30 GMT)

    Chris Sutton

Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their attack is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be quite tight, though. Burnley are well organised and their only home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.

This smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

Enzo Maresca's side are third at the moment and seem to have found more consistency than they had last season, although I still don't see them as genuine title contenders. They are not as strong as Arsenal or Manchester City.

    Sutton's prediction: 1-2

Time will tell but I disagree with Tony, strong line up starting and if all play as well as they can then Burnley shouldn't be too much danger. Risk reward given the potential workload this season.

    Ceiron, Leighton Buzzard

Andrew: re Tony @ 11:26- if the man is tired it seems pretty sensible to leave him on the bench. Otherwise you could easily end up with some sort of stress injury which would take much longer to clear up.

Yep, Alejandro Garnacho is in good form, he had two assists against Wolves before the international break.

Garnacho could make his 100th Premier League appearance in this match. Aged 21 years and 144 days, he would be the youngest South American to reach the milestone, overtaking Gabriel Martinelli from October 2023 (22y 125d).

What happened to Garnacho? If my knowledge serves me right, he was not away in the break, and performed brilliantly against Wolves. Maresca must have hit his head in the night and forgotten.
