  1. Going on a European tour?published at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time

With English clubs doing well in Europe, the Premier League is currently on course to have five sides in the Champions League next season - and that could prove very good news for Bournemouth.

Depending on who wins the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup, eighth in the table at the end of the season could be enough for European competition, something the Cherries have never managed.

Bournemouth are currently seventh, one point behind fourth-placed Manchester City, and on course for their highest finish ever in their 125-year history, which currently stands at the ninth spot they achieved in the 2016-17 campaign.

The fans at the Vitality Stadium have already seen home wins over City (2-1 in November), third-placed Nottingham Forest (5-0 last week) and second-placed Arsenal (2-0 in October).

What a story it would be if Andoni Iraola's side can gain another shock victory against a Liverpool team that are aiming to end the day nine points clear at the top as they chase down what would be a 20th English title.

  2. 'The manager has got it spot on'published at 14:39 Greenwich Mean Time

    FT: Nottingham Forest 7-0 Brighton

    Marc Albrighton
Former Leicester midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

You can hear the fans and see the players enjoying themselves and celebrating with their supporters - they are riding a wave this season.

The reaction they've shown is incredible. Not only have they stabilised things, the manager [Nuno Espirito Santo] has got it spot on.

Going forward they are so exciting to watch. They have some difficult fixtures coming up and this will give them massive confidence.

  3. 'Brighton will discuss what went wrong in the week'published at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time

    FT: Nottingham Forest 7-0 Brighton

    Ashley Williams
Former Wales defender on Final Score

I have been in this situation before with heavy losses. A manager will probably tell his players to get rested and they will discuss it in the week.

There is not much they can do right now after a loss like that.

    FT: Nottingham Forest 7-0 Brighton

Chris Wood is having a great season. He was so difficult to play against.

Forest are a bit of a throwback with the quick winger and the big striker.

  6. 'Gravenberch and Mac Allister have improved understanding under Slot'published at 14:35 Greenwich Mean Time

    Bournemouth v Liverpool (15:00 GMT)

    Dion Dublin
Former Man Utd striker on Football Focus

Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister have improved their understanding in this Arne Slot side. With them being such clever footballers they have picked up what they have been asked to do and the instinct going forward and defensively has improved so much.

  7. 'Slot so cool calm and collected and you can see that in the players'published at 14:34 Greenwich Mean Time

    Bournemouth v Liverpool (15:00 GMT)

    Ellen White
Former England striker on Football Focus

What Arne Slot has done since he has come in to Liverpool is incredible isn't it? More goals scored, less goals conceded, more points. He is just so cool calm and collected and you can see that in his players. The way that they are performing and controlling games now is just so exciting to watch.

  8. Can super Salah go sixth in scoring chart?published at 14:33 Greenwich Mean Time

    Bournemouth v Liverpool (15:00 GMT)

Mohamed Salah is the highest scorer in this fixture with nine goals in 11 appearances, although he did miss a penalty in the Cherries' 1-0 victory over Liverpool back in March 2023, one of only two wins the Cherries hold over the Reds from 23 meetings.

With under four months of the season to go, Salah is leading the race for the Premier League Golden Boot, an award he achieved outright in 2017-18 and shared in 2018-19 and 2021-22.

He has got a staggering 19 goals and 13 assists from 22 league games and needs just one goal to reach the 20-mark for the fifth time in his Premier League career. The only others to do that are Alan Shearer (seven seasons), Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane (six apiece) and Thierry Henry (five).

A double today would also move the Egyptian sixth in the top goalscorers list in the Premier League era and above Frank Lampard.

    FT: Nottingham Forest 7-0 Brighton

Nottingham Forest are just the second side in Premier League history to lose a game by five or more goals and then win their next game by five or more goals.

The only previous side to do so were Sheffield Wednesday in November 1997, who followed up a 6-1 defeat at Manchester United with a 5-0 win at home v Bolton.
