Erling Haaland has had three attempts. One on target. But he is still searching for his landmark 100th goal. But while he remains on the pitch, Manchester City have a chance.

  3. Can Lautaro Martinez make the differencepublished at 21:24 British Summer Time 18 September

    Man City 0-0 Inter Milan

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter at the Etihad Stadium

Inter Milan's star man Lautaro Martinez has just come on and taken the captain's armband.

The Argentine scored the winner of the Copa America final in July, so tonight's game won't phase him.

Inter have been good. But can he get the goal? Or will his arrival stop Inter playing the way they were?

The game is at a delicate stage.

I cannot remember Inter keeper Yan Sommer having a save of note to make in this game. In recent seasons when have we been able to say that about a Man City performance?

I have to say I'm enjoying watching Inter play more than I'm enjoying City. Inter look comfortable, more direct and incisive. City have passed the ball a lot, to little effect.

    James McFadden
Former Scotland forward on BBC Sportsound

It's a poor goal for Celtic to concede under the circumstances.

The ball is there for a long time, but the sting is taken out of it. No backlift.

    It's a fantastic finish.

Inter are somehow playing amazingly well and shockingly bad at the same time... The question is which side of them will prevail....

Simone Inzaghi is absolutely furious! Matteo Darmian recieves the ball on the right hand side of the box and you're thinking just take a touch and get a shot off. Instead he took three or four and was dispossessed. I don't know what he was thinking, best chance of the match!

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is an expressive chap at the best of times.

His reaction at his side blowing that opportunity was one of pure frustration. He turned to his bench and just yelled.

Matteo Darmain clearly did not trust his shooting capabilities.

Inzaghi was off the scale incredulous.
