Simone Inzaghi will be disappointed that his side have not been more clinical in the final third. They have had chances, more than half chances, and have not found their shooting boots. The issue they will have is that City will eventually score out of nothing, they take their chances.

Inter are so well organised and well drilled, it looks like it might be a night where City have to be patient and wait for the opening to happen. It is fascinating to watch the rotation between Inter Milan’s centre-backs and midfielders, and it is working... but you know Pep Guardiola might work it out.

I do get the feeling that the longer the half goes on the more Man City will wear Inter down. The gaps will begin to open up. Inter have worked so hard defensively up until this point.

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is permanently on the edge of rage, constantly turning to his backroom staff for some very animated dialogue.

Not sure what he is unhappy about as this has been a very decent display so far by Inter. They have looked threatening on occasions although, unsurprisingly, Erling Haaland is carrying his usual air of menace.

When they were behind and in trouble on Saturday, Manchester City were baled out by two first-half goals from Erling Haaland.

The Norwegian has had one header at the Inter goal, which was easily saved and now he has just rolled a shot wide from the edge of the area..

City need to get the ball to their striker more often.

Such clever play from Erling Haaland. the ball is fizzed into him from Jack Grealish and he turns and fires towards the back post. He tried to do the keeper with the eyes and he wasn't far away.

That is a harsh yellow for Ruben Dias. It is an honest challenge, timed slightly too late. Not every challenge has to be a yellow card. A warning sign there for City, frightening pace from Piotr Zielinski.
