Manchester United have already spent £133.5m on forwards Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo this summer - signing Benjamin Sesko would take that total up to over £200m.

How many goals did they score last season?

    • Sesko - 13 league goals (21 all comps)
    • Cunha - 15 league goals (17 all comps)
    • Mbeumo - 20 league goals (20 all comps)

The trio scored 48 league goals between them last term. Whereas United scored just 44 goals as a whole team in the league last campaign.

I hope Sesko isn't another one of those players who do well in their league but when they come to the Premier League they completely flop. Up the Reds.

Good move for Man U, probably best option after Gyokeres in my opinion. Hopefully he can finally solve Man United's striker problem.

    Nottingham Forest

We also have a bit of Nottingham Forest gossip from Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano on X. He says the Reds have "made an approach" for Hellas Verona right-back Jackson Tchatchoua.

He adds: "No proposal yet at this stage, only initial approach to ask deal conditions."

I'd rather see Garnacho go to Spurs as a replacement for Son. A front 3 of Kudus on the right, Solanke through the middle and Garnacho on the left could do pretty well but sadly I think he'll end up at Chelsea and get lost in the shuffle.

  10. Gossip - Zabarnyi to Paris St-Germain edges closerpublished at 15:02 British Summer Time 7 August

    Bournemouth

We do have a little update on Bournemouth defender Illia Zabarnyi's proposed move to Paris St-Germain, with Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano suggesting a deal is getting closer on X.

He replied to his own post from 31 July which said there would be a "here we go" on the deal "very soon" with a red love heart, a blue love heart, a sand timer and a finish line flag.

With McTominay’s Balon D’or nomination, Antony’s phenomenal form for Betis, Lingard’s performances for West Ham and Elanga setting the Prem alight last season, why would Sesko opt for a club that drains the life from players who look like enhanced versions of themselves everywhere else?

  12. 'Nunez came somewhat short of what we had hoped'published at 14:50 British Summer Time 7 August

    Liverpool

    Darwin NunezImage source, Getty Images

The Redmen TV's Dan Clubbe speaking to BBC Radio Merseyside about Darwin Nunez's prospective move to Al-Hilal: "The overriding feeling around Liverpool and Darwin Nunez's relationship has been one of frustration, more often than not.

"There was a decent chunk of money spent on him and a lot of expectation around him. He came in at the same time as Erling Haaland went to Manchester City and the comparison was made right from the get-go. He was our response to their signing, if you like, but he never lived up to anything like the expectations.

"He was also a Jurgen Klopp-led signing which in itself brought danger because Liverpool's recruitment had been so well thought out and so smart before that, so maybe it was too much of a gamble.

"Given the money we did spend on him, he has come somewhat short of what we had hoped and expected - so I think it is best for all parties."

  13. Loads of new-look front threes on the horizon?published at 14:44 British Summer Time 7 August

Garnacho to Chelsea or not, plenty of the Premier League's front threes could look very different this season.

Think we've got the line-ups right for these clubs for their first matches of the upcoming campaign?

    • Arsenal - Martinelli, Gyokeres, Saka
    • Chelsea - Neto, Joao Pedro, Palmer
    • Everton - Grealish?, Beto, Dibling?
    • Liverpool - Gakpo, Ekitike, Salah
    • Man City - Doku, Haaland, Cherki
    • Man Utd - Cunha, Sesko?, Mbeumo
    • Newcastle - Gordon, Isak, Elanga
    • Tottenham - Odobert, Solanke, Kudus

Remember, these are just some of the possible front threes, there are lots of moveable parts and some way to go in the transfer window!

Garnacho is no better than the players we currently have. He would be down the pecking order and only a squad player at best. Looks like we need cover for Colwill which would be better use of the money.

I think the problem with Garnacho is he's too arrogant, without earning the right to be arrogant. He should be getting his head down at this stage of his career and running his guts out like Holjund does. As a United fan he was so exciting to watch when he broke into the first team but now his attitude has just ruined it. Selling him will fund moves for hungrier players
