I’ve spoken to Bodo/Glimt Supporters Club chairman Thomas Solberg in Bodo ahead of their Europa League semi final second leg with Tottenham tonight.

"I hope they think they are in the final, I don't think they know what they are facing," says Solberg.

"Everybody speaks about the surface, the weather, everything. That's all excuses. Bodo/Glimt have the ability to play Tottenham out of the tournament.

"The team is a very good side. They know each other, they have played under the same manager and in the same system for a number of years. If Tottenham give us the spaces they are going to be hammered."

If the Blues beat Djurgarden to secure their place in the Europa Conference League final, it will be the eighth time in their history that they have reached a European final.

In addition, Chelsea have never lost to a Swedish side.

Was at Spurs for that incredible atmosphere last week and saw nothing from Bodo that worries me. Then we had our game against Villa moved to make sure we wouldn't be at a disadvantage after making the final. Now I'm nervous. Nothing would be more Spursey than losing after all that.

Michael Ball: As a Spurs fan, that late Bodo goal last week has made this last week really tough. At 3-0 we'd have been booking flights to Bilbao (for crazy money), but as it is this tie is very much in the balance. First goal dictates the direction I feel.

  5. Your questions answered – is European football guaranteed for Europa loser?published at 19:44 British Summer Time 8 May

    Ask Me Anything

BBC Sport’s Ask Me Anything team have been asking for your questions…

Here’s one for the Europa League.

Maria asked: Is there any European football guaranteed for the losers in the Europa League final?

The club who loses the Europa League final is not guaranteed European football, unless they have qualified through their domestic league.

Should Manchester United make the final and not win, they won’t be guaranteed European football as they are currently 15th in the league.

The same is the case for Tottenham Hotspur, who are 16th.

Bodo/Glimt have already qualified for the play-off round in next season's Champions League, but if they win the Europa League, they will automatically qualify for the league phase.

If Athletic Bilbao can make it to the final in their home stadium but lose, they still have a chance of securing Champions League football as they are currently fourth in the Spanish La Liga.

Patrick Berg and Hakon Evjen have returned for Bodo/Glimt after missing last week's 3-1 first leg defeat at Tottenham.

They will look to run the midfield this evening - run being the operative word.

Against Lazio in their quarter-final first leg last month, which Bodo won 2-0, Berg ran 14.8 kilometres with Evjen covering 14.3k.

Spurs must ensure they do not get run ragged. In his 11 Europa League appearances this season Rodrigo Bentancur has covered a total of 19.9k while Yves Bissouma, who has made four starts, has run 7.45k.

Djurgarden manager Jani Honkavaara know his side face an uphill battle if they are to overcome the first leg deficit: "Chelsea showed their qualities last time and the biggest lesson for us is that as soon as we make a mistake we are punished for it.

"We also needed to be just as clinical for ourselves, where we had a number of good chances that we should have managed better.

"Teams at this level punish the opposition immediately if you don't do your job, so we have to step out and do the job even better on Thursday."

Chelsea take a 4-1 lead into Thursday's Conference League semi-final second leg against Djurgarden at Stamford Bridge - but goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen has said a spot in the final is not being taken for granted.

"It's full focus," he said. "We will take it as seriously as any other game. At the end of the day, it's the semi-final of a European competition and we want to be in the final.

"I don't think any of us think this is done yet. We have 90 minutes left to play, we're going to give it our all and we want to win this game as well."

Jorgensen was at Spanish club Villarreal when they won the 2021 Europa League and, although he was not in the squad for the final victory over Manchester United, it is an experience he has gained a lot from.

The 23-year-old added: "I saw a lot of things when we won that competition - also emotionally and how every player was so happy to win a trophy. [I thought] I want to be there one day and hopefully we can do it this year."

Stig Johansen, who is Bodo's all-time top goalscorers and also had a brief spell at Southampton in 1997-98, expects the hosts and their plastic pitch to make life uncomfortable for Spurs.

"Tottenham are going to get a real surprise, I hope," he told BBC Sport in Norway.

"They will find it difficult. Tottenham may start well but they will struggle afterwards. Bodo/Glimt are very fit and if you don't get into the duels close - Tottenham players are stronger than us - on that pitch, I don't think they are going to catch up.

"Stay away from one to ones because physically Tottenham are stronger.

"We have to score very quickly, in the first 20, and then we go from there. What are Tottenham doing? Are they up to the challenge?

"It's fun to say - are Tottenham up to the challenge at Bodo/Glimt? But Bodo are so good at home. It will be a new world for the Tottenham players. We have seen a lot of teams come to Bodo and it seems they are playing in our division.

    "Good luck to Tottenham."

  10. What to expect in Bodo?published at 19:40 British Summer Time 8 May

    Bodo/Glimt v Tottenham (20:00 BST, agg 1-3)

As the Lazio players experienced - and Mourinho's Roma too in 2021 with a 6-1 humbling in their Europa Conference League tie - playing football in Bodo can be a real test.

Sub-zero temperatures greeted them and it's now also pouring down with fans having to wear ponchos to fight the rain.

But other factors could provide a challenge.

Bodo's coastal location, coupled with the open design of the 8,500 capacity Aspmyra Stadion, means it can be very windy during matches.

What inspiration can Athletic Bilbao take?

Well one - and literally one - team have ever gone through a two-legged European tie after losing an away first leg by three or more goals.

And that was just last season.

Eventual winners Olympiakos lost 4-1 to Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Conference League last 16, but won the second leg 6-1 after extra time.

Huge shoutout to Harry Maguire. The man has an incredible mentality and that’s what’s needed around the club. Went from ridicule to an absolute must to survive the overhaul during the summer.

With their 3-1 victory in the first leg, Tottenham made it five wins out of five against Norwegian opposition in major European competition.

This is the highest number of games Spurs have played against an opponent from a specific country while maintaining a 100 per cent win rate.

Bodo/Glimt Supporters' Club chairman Thomas Solberg has labelled their Europa League semi-final second leg showdown with Tottenham as the biggest day in the club's history.

"It's the biggest day for Bodo/Glimt in its history. It should be a day for the history books. We don't have expectation that high, we know we are facing a decent team. The weather and everything could turn out to be a great day," said Solberg.

He added, "I went to Tottenham, we were 3-0 down and when we scored I think the whole stadium thought 'ok, it's game on now'. It could be so vital for us. I say we don't have any expectation, we have some, but that goal gave us some belief."

  16. Amorim plans to keep Fernandes at Man Utdpublished at 19:33 British Summer Time 8 May

Man Utd v Athletic Bilbao (20:00 BST, agg 3-0)

Unsurprisingly, Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim wants to keep his captain - and probably best player - in fellow Portuguese Bruno Fernandes.

The 30-year-old midfielder has been linked to Saudi club Al-Hilal, who could try to sign him before next month's Club World Cup.

"We want to keep the best players - and Bruno is clearly one of the top players in the world. We want Bruno here," said Amorim.

Fernandes has scored 19 goals and claimed 18 assists so far this season.

"It is easy to understand [his importance] - not just because of the numbers but the way he plays and the importance he has during his five years here," Amorim added.

"It's normal a lot of clubs want a player like Bruno. He is a leader and he's the captain, so he's really important. He is a top player, we need top players."

  17. Athletic without three top scorerspublished at 19:32 British Summer Time 8 May

Man Utd v Athletic Bilbao (20:00 BST, agg 3-0)

Athletic Bilbao have three players in double figures for goals the season. And none of them are playing today.

Oihan Sancet (17 goals) and brothers Nico and Inaki Williams (11 goals each) are all injured.

Gorka Guruzeta, who is on the bench, is the next top scorer with seven goals - but only one in 2025.

The artificial pitch at the Aspmyra Stadion has been heavily watered, which is designed to make it faster, and therefore, harder for Bodo/Glimt's opponents. Although, a quicker surface could suit Tottenham.

The clouds are rolling in and have covered the snow-capped mountains in the distance, as we sit 75 miles inside the Arctic Circle.

It's not too cold but the hosts are trying to make it as difficult as possible for Spurs as they look to recover from the 3-1 first leg defeat.

    Chelsea v Djurgarden (20:00 BST)

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca speaking to TNT Sports about handing teenager Reggie Walsh a first senior start: "He is a talent. Very good. His technique is fantastic. I really like him between the lines. You could see immediately he has something.

"For sure because he is only 17/18 he still needs to work hard but I like the personality. He has worked with us during the season and he is not shy, he is always asking for the ball. He is shouting and talking, which I like. He's a good player."
