    Charlton 0-4 Southampton

Just five minutes of the first half remains in this one, and Southampton make it clear that they want more goals.

Saints play it calmly out from the back, and in a flash are threatening on the edge of Charlton's penalty area.

Tom Fellows has an effort blocked, and moments later Adam Armstrong curls a shot wide.

    Back in it.

Tatsuhiro Sakamoto sends in a teasing cross and Josh Eccles, unmarked, sends a downward header beyond Josh Griffiths.

    What a game this is.

    Coventry 0-2 West Brom

Milan Van Ewijk goes for the spectacular from the edge of the area for Coventry but it's miles off target.

The home side have got a lot of thinking to do.

    Bristol City 2-0 Swansea

Swansea get the chance to break and Adam Idah carries it all the way to the box but Liam Cullen hasn't travelled as quickly.

Idah has two choices - to take it on himself or cut it across in the hope Cullen gets there.

He tries the latter but no dice. It's not reaching Cullen and the attack is wasted.

Took my mother to the game for her 65th birthday, not sure what I was thinking! Absolute shambles, thanks a lot CAFC!

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 13:08 GMT

    Coventry 0-2 West Brom

It's a massive scramble in the West Brom six-yard area and from point-blank range Josh Griffiths blocks Josh Eccles' volley.

Heads in hands all around the Coventry side - should have scored surely, but wonderful goalkeeping.

    Bristol City 2-0 Swansea

    Dafydd Pritchard

Just as Swansea seemed to be getting a foothold in the game and starting to create chances, they shoot themselves in the foot.

Ronald gave the ball away needlessly to Emil Riis with a no-look back-pass and, although Cameron Burgess saved his blushes with a goal-line clearance on that occasion, the Swans could not navigate that period of pressure and they find themselves two down.

If Vitor Matos is here by now, he'll be concerned by what he's seeing.

    Charlton 0-4 Southampton

With Southampton doing a demolition job on Charlton right now, I wonder how long Saints' interim boss Tonda Eckert will actually only be an 'interim boss'.

Surely the few wins he oversaw before the international break and this performance so far is a good reason to give him the job full time?

What do you think Saints fans?

  9. 'He's getting into the box for everything'published at 13:05 GMT

    Coventry 0-2 West Brom

    Tony Brown
West Brom's all-time record scorer on BBC Radio WM

Identical, same ball put in, same finish from Heggebo, absolutely brilliant.

The confidence he got from his goal last week, now he's going after everything, he's getting into the box for everything and he's got another.

West Brom have got to concentrate now, they can't let Coventry back into the game, get the clean sheet, get the three points.

  10. goal

    Aune Heggebo (32 mins)

    Rinse and repeat...

It's the same combination - Mikey Johnston is played onside and his cross is stabbed in via the inside of the post by Aune Heggebo.

    The leaders are stunned.

    Brilliant from West Brom.

    Emil Riis (31 mins)

    Oh dear, Swansea.

Anis Mehmeti lingers all alone on the left flank and is spotted. Swansea root themselves in place in anticipation of the cross but it's a fruitless call.

Mehmeti loops it deep towards the back post where Emil Riis stretches his leg up high to guide it into the net.

Two goals down now and neither were well defended by the visitors.

    Bristol City 1-0 Swansea

Just as I was saying Swansea were having a better look, Bristol City go and prove me wrong.

A sloppy back pass is pounced on by Emil Riis and set off for Sinclair Armstrong.

With Lawrence Vigouroux off his line, Armstrong puts it past the keeper but sees it cleared before reaching the line by Cameron Burgess.

    Charlton 0-4 Southampton

We have just passed the half-hour mark at The Valley.

Eight minutes have passed since the last goal...

And eight minutes is all it took for Saints to hit their four goals.

  15. YELLOW CARDSpublished at 13:02 GMT

    Coventry 0-1 West Brom

Jayson Molumby takes out Ephron Mason-Clark because he wants Coventry to put the ball out with Mikey Johnston down injured.

    It's getting a little feisty.

Molumby is carded and so is Mason-Clark for his reaction.

  16. Postpublished at 13:00 GMT

    Charlton 0-4 Southampton

Before this game kicked off, Charlton were the ones riding high in the Championship compared to Southampton.

They started the day ninth in the table and nine places about Saints.

Right now, Southampton look irresistible while Charlton have simply been bamboozled.

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 12:59 GMT

    Coventry 0-1 West Brom

Victor Torp runs into Mikey Johnston as the West Brom man is in mid-air heading the ball away.

Referee Andrew Kitchen dishes out the first yellow card to Torp.

  18. Postpublished at 12:58 GMT

    Bristol City 1-0 Swansea

Swansea have woken up after their sluggish start.

Once again, Bristol City keeper Radek Vitek is forced into a save after Adam Idah swipes at goal but Vitek remains a looming figure in front of the net to whack it out.

The Swans having the better chances now.

  19. Postpublished at 12:56 GMT

    Coventry 0-1 West Brom

Karlan Grant makes a brilliant run down the left for West Brom - his cross eventually breaks to Jayson Molumby but Carl Rushworth makes an vital stop with his legs.

The away side are playing this perfectly - really getting numbers forward when they get away on the break.

    Southampton make it FOUR!!!

Charlton's defence have been rattled by the Saints in these first 22 minutes.

Adam Armstrong is again heavily involved.

He provides the assist for Finn Azaz, who rounds the Addicks goalkeeper to slot home.

Southampton are already out of sight in this game...
