Right, how do you sum that up?

Shrewsbury are relegated to League Two, Cambridge United hang on for a little while longer in League One.

Meanwhile Wycombe are back in control of automatic promotion to the Championship as they won to move into second spot above Wrexham who were held by struggling Bristol Rovers, and Charlton have secured a play-off spot.

Port Vale are guaranteed at least a play-off place in League Two and remain top despite losing to Carlisle who are now within four points of safety.

Doncaster are up to second thanks to Luke Molyneux's hat-trick at Tranmere and Colchester have moved into the top-seven after a 0-0 draw with Crewe.

If you missed anything you can catch-up on our dedictated League One and League Two pages.

If you need us we'll be laying down in a darkened room...well, until Monday anyway when we have another bumper schedule to look forward to!

The top ten teams in League Two

Port Vale's lead at the top is down to one point but they are now guaranteed at least a play-off spot.

Doncaster jump from fourth to second place with Walsall outside the automatic promotion places for the first time since 22 November.

Colchester United failed to break down 10-man Crewe but their point from a goalless draw moves them into the play-off spots after Swindon hammered Grimsby 4-0 at Blundell Park.

  3. Wycombe into top two, Shrewsbury relegatedpublished at 17:23 British Summer Time 18 April

Wycombe’s 2-0 win at Bolton moves them into the second automatic promotion spot in League One after Wrexham were held to a 1-1 draw by Bristol Rovers.

The Red Dragons drop to third, while the Gas remain in the bottom four on goal difference behind Burton Albion, who have a game in hand.

Cambridge’s dramatic late winner takes them to within five points of safety and in doing so, deals a major blow to Huddersfield’s play-off hopes.

Leyton Orient are into the top-six after edging a 4-3 thriller against Barnsley, while Charlton have secured a play-off spot and Stockport’s is almost certain as a late equaliser at Peterborough means they need just one more point to confirm it.

The first relegation was confirmed today too as Shrewsbury drop out of League One after Burton's earlier draw against Exeter. The Shrews knew they were down before their game against Wigan - which they lost 1-0.

  4. Morecambe hanging on; Carlisle dreamingpublished at 17:22 British Summer Time 18 April

Bottom ten places in League Two

Morecambe are hanging-on to their EFL status by their fingernails but now have to win their remaining three games and hope for miracles elsewhere.

Carlisle's dramatic win over Port Vale means they are now only four points adrift of Tranmere who lost 3-0 at home to Doncaster.

The Cumbrians face Accrington on Monday with the Lancashire side buying themselves some breathing space thanks to a 2-1 victory at Salford.

  5. FULL-TIMEpublished at 17:14 British Summer Time 18 April

    Peterborough 1-1 Stockport County

Jack Diamond's long range goal in the first minute of second-half stoppage time has earned the Hatters a point and all but guarantees County a play-off spot in the League One post season shake-up due to their superior goal difference over the chasing pack.

It is not mathematically done just yet, but a point against out of form Huddersfield on Easter Monday would secure things once and for all.

  6. Late winner earns vital points for Cambridgepublished at 17:13 British Summer Time 18 April

    FT: Huddersfield 1-2 Cambridge

    Sanny Rudravajhala
BBC Radio 5 Live at John Smith's Stadium

This is why we love the EFL!

Josh Koroma had hit Cambridge with a gut punch. With a minute to go, they would be almost down, relying on Bristol Rovers to lose their remaining games.

But, with the chips down, Cambridge kept their heads and held them high. Sullay Kaikai’s cool finish in the 92nd minute has the away fans believing. They’re singing ‘we are staying up’ as Neil Harris’ team applauds them.

The home side are booed off. Huddersfield are still play-off outsiders but this is a huge blow.

    What a finale.

  7. 'The first-half performance was enough'published at 17:10 British Summer Time 18 April

    FT: Carlisle 3-2 Port Vale

    Chris Lumsdon
Former Carlisle midfielder on BBC Radio Cumbria

Three wins on the trot, Carlisle have done all they can do today.

It's the Carlisle United way to put you through everything.

It was a well-struck pen, but an even better save.

Port Vale showed why they are top of the league, but the first-half performance was more than enough.

  8. Charlton secure play-off spotpublished at 17:07 British Summer Time 18 April

    FT: Charlton 2-1 Northampton

Charlton's 2-1 win at home to Northampton means they have secured a League One play-off berth.

The Addicks move to 79 points, 10 clear of Reading in seventh with only three games (and nine points) to play for.

Nathan Jones' side are five points off the top two, so it looks more than likely they'll be returning for a semi-final after the season concludes in two weeks.

  9. goal

GOAL: Peterborough 1-1 Stockport Countypublished at 17:04 British Summer Time 18 April

    Jack Diamond (90+1 mins)

The Hatters have left it late but Jack Diamond's left-footed strike from range looks to have stolen a point at London Road!

  10. FULL-TIMEpublished at 17:01 British Summer Time 18 April

Full-time at Hayes Lane and Morecambe have been beaten once more.

  11. FULL-TIMEpublished at 17:00 British Summer Time 18 April

It's over and it's a huge three points for the visitors!

They live to fight another day and climb above Crawley to 22nd and are now just five points clear of safety following Sullay Kaikai's 92nd minute winner.

  12. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:58 British Summer Time 18 April

    Carlisle 3-2 Port Vale

    What an afternoon.

Carlisle fight on - Port Vale still top.

Goals from Georgie Kelly, Matt Dennis and Aaron Hayden had the Cumbrians in control before Jayden Stockley and Sam Hart hauled Port Vale back into it.

Home skipper Terell Thomas then gave away an injury-time penalty only for Gabriel Breeze to save Lorent Tolaj's spot-kick.

Matt Dennis, who had been replaced just before the penalty was then sent-off from the bench.

An extraordinary game - relief in the streets of Carlisle.

  13. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:56 British Summer Time 18 April

    Tranmere 0-3 Doncaster

    Doncaster up to second place.

    Luke Molyneux hat-trick.

    Comfortable for Rovers.

Tranmere only four points clear of the drop zone - not so comfortable for them.

  14. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:56 British Summer Time 18 April

    Walsall 2-2 Harrogate

    Not enough for Walsall?

The Saddlers are out of the top three in League Two for the first time since 22 November.

An Anthony O'Connor own goal gave the Saddlers an early lead but Josh March and Ellis Taylor turned things around for the visitors before Liam Gordon's late equaliser.

It's now 11 games without a win for Walsall.

  15. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:56 British Summer Time 18 April

    Bolton 0-2 Wycombe

A third straight win for Wycombe takes them into the top two. A third straight defeat for Bolton leaves them three points off the play-off spots.

The Chairboys now have their hopes of automatic promotion to the Championship in their own hands.

The Trotters have hit a poor run of form at just the wrong time and will be relying on favours with three games to go.

  16. goal

GOAL: Huddersfield 1-2 Cambridgepublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 18 April

    Sullay Kaikai (90+2 mins)

    Absolutely incredible!

Remarkable drama at the end of the match at the John Smiths.

The ball finds it way to the right and James Brophy, United's first goalscorer, keeps a cool head and finds Sullay Kaikai who buries his finish in to the top right hand corner of the goal.

Boos ring around the stadium from the Huddersfield fans, including some chants of "you're not fit to wear the shirt."

  17. RED CARDpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 18 April

    Carlisle 3-2 Port Vale

Now a member of the Carlisle bench has been sent-off - it actually looks like Matt Dennis has been shown the card - he's only just been substituted!

    This is just ridiculous.

  18. 'It was a great save'published at 16:55 British Summer Time 18 April

    Carlisle 3-2 Port Vale

    James Phillips
    BBC Radio Cumbria Sport commentator

The officials have gone card happy, in the aftermath of the penalty the fourth official picked something up.

It was a great save from Gabriel Breeze.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 18 April

    Carlisle 3-2 Port Vale

Terell Thomas was cautioned for Carlisle for conceding the penalty.

  20. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 16:53 British Summer Time 18 April

    Carlisle 3-2 Port Vale

Gabriel Breeze - freedom of Carlisle!

The home goalkeeper throws himself to his left and keeps out Lorent Tolaj's spot-kick.

We have two minutes of time added on remaining.
