  1. goal

GOAL: Bolton 0-1 Wycombepublished at 16:17 British Summer Time 18 April

    Caleb Taylor (58 mins)

This could be a HUGE goal in the race for automatic promotion and the play-off spots.

Wycombe win a free-kick on the left, about five yards in from the byeline and Luke Leahy delivers a ball to the back post.

It's met by West Brom loanee Caleb Taylor who squeezes in a header from the angle.

The Chairboys are second and two points clear of Wrexham as things stand, while Bolton are now four points off the top-six.

  2. League One updatespublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 18 April

Blackpool, who still have an outside chance of making the top six in League One, have taken the lead at Stevenage thanks to Rob Apter's 56th minute goal.

Leyton Orient have pulled a goal back against Barnsley following Ethan Galbraith's strike.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 18 April

    Tranmere 0-2 Doncaster

Difficult to see Tranmere getting back in to this and they are in real trouble at the bottom again.

Mind you they did come from 3-0 down at Accrington last week - Doncaster are a different kettle of fish tough.

Owen Bailey is cautioned for the visitors.

  4. 'It's defend first, attack second'published at 16:15 British Summer Time 18 April

    Bolton 0-0 Wycombe

    Sam Avery
BBC Three Counties Radio's Wycombe commentator

The mindset of the players is what's frustrating the Wycombe fans at the moment.

It's defend first, attack second which is fine for a time, but not in a game like this.

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:14 British Summer Time 18 April

    Walsall 1-1 Harrogate

A fourth caution for Harrogate - it's Ben Fox this time.

  6. Postpublished at 16:14 British Summer Time 18 April

    Bolton 0-0 Wycombe

Aaron Collins drives into the box on the left for Bolton and flashes an effort across the face of goal and it goes about two yards wide.

A game of few opportunities so far with a LOT at stake for both sides.

The Trotters in desperate need of a goal to close in on the play-off spots. A goal for the Chairboys would do wonders for their automatic promotion hopes with Wrexham still trailing Bristol Rovers.

  7. 'They can't cope'published at 16:13 British Summer Time 18 April

    Carlisle 3-0 Port Vale

    Phil Bowers
    Journalist, BBC Radio Stoke

What on earth are Vale playing at here?

They can't cope, Carlisle have been first to everything today.

  8. goal

GOAL Tranmere 0-2 Doncasterpublished at 16:11 British Summer Time 18 April

    Luke Molyneux (Pen 51 mins)

Luke Molyneux slots home from 12 yards.

That's 17 for the season for him now.

  9. 'What a great start'published at 16:11 British Summer Time 18 April

    Carlisle 3-0 Port Vale

    Chris Lumsdon
Former Carlisle midfielder on BBC Radio Cumbria

What a header, what a great start to the second half!

The players will be more relaxed now, but they need to stay focused.

The Vale players are frustrated, there might be a loss of heads in this match.

  10. goal

GOAL: Bromley 1-0 Morecambepublished at 16:10 British Summer Time 18 April

    Michael Cheek (48 mins)

The hosts hit the front and its a massive dagger to Morecambe's hopes of staying up!

Two minutes into the second half, Danny Imray draws a foul in the box following sloppy Morecambe defending.

From the penalty spot, up steps Michael Cheek and the 33-year-old batters his penalty to the goalkeeper's left, sending him the wrong way, giving the hosts a deserved lead on the balance of play.

  11. goal

GOAL Carlisle 3-0 Port Valepublished at 16:10 British Summer Time 18 April

This lot are second from bottom right?

    Wow, just wow...

    Tranmere 0-1 Doncaster

Doncaster have a chance to double their lead.

Tranmere goalkeeper Luke McGhee hauls down his man in the box.

    Easy decision for the penalty.

  13. 'He was one of the best people I knew' - tributes to Joe Thompsonpublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 18 April

Me and Joe Thompson presented the Squad Goals radio show for two-and-a-half years and it was a brilliant rollercoaster. We were thrown together and hit it off.

He was one of the best people I knew. He never let any of his incredible achievements define him, and boy did he have some of those.

He was let go by Manchester United for being too small, after having a hand scan as a teenager, only to have a growth spurt and be 6’2”. He never though, held anything against United or get wrapped up in what could have been. In fact, he ended up working with the club and mentoring the next generation of players and working with their alumni programme.

To many he was the guy who beat cancer twice, the second time scoring the goal to save Rochdale from relegation. In fact, I remember once being out with him when, in a noisy and dark bar in Manchester, he was clocked by a throng of Dale fans who insisted on buying him drinks - all you can chug lemonade for the man who’d learned to look after his body after everything he had been through.

As a broadcaster, he was brilliant. The best footballers are the coachable ones and he’d only have to be told something once and he’d do it. It made him the best co-presenter you could ask for and taught me how to be a better voice on the radio too.

I only ever saw him mad once. I’d roped him to play for my 6-a-side team and we were awful. Eventually he let rip, beat two men and smashed one into the top corner, on his wrong foot. He still had it!

36 is no age at all. In another life he would still be playing and we’d be talking about his exploits with the ball. His work outside of football, as a motivational speaker means he’ll have affected so many, and I’m looking forward to hearing those stories emerge over the next few weeks. With his fundraising efforts and mentoring work, he inspired so many of us to ‘be more Joe’.

He taught me how to be a better man, a better dad and be better dressed. He was the first to let me know when my clobber was not to standard!

Awarded the EFL Sir Tom Finney Award in 2019, his legacy will live on. We will miss him and he’ll be in my heart every time I pick up a microphone.

  14. Postpublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 18 April

    Wrexham 0-1 Bristol Rovers

    Chance for Wrexham!

Elliot Lee swings in a cross from the left and Sam Smith meets it at the back post from about three yards out, but he can't quite divert it on target.

It was slightly out of reach to be fair to Smith. A warning sign for Rovers.

  15. League Two updatespublished at 16:08 British Summer Time 18 April

Bit of housekeeping from the first-half to update you on.

Crewe Alexandra's Owen Lunt was sent off in the fifth minute of additional time at Colchester United with the hosts still in the hunt for a League Two play-off spot.

It remains goalless there at half-time.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:06 British Summer Time 18 April

    Carlisle 2-0 Port Vale

George Byers is on for Rhys Walters for Port Vale and Sam Hart takes the place of Jack Shorrock.

Darren Moore trying to shake some life into his side.

A double change for Tranmere at the break.

  19. 'The players have to adapt'published at 16:00 British Summer Time 18 April

    HT: Carlisle 2-0 Port Vale

    Adam Yates
Former Vale defender on BBC Radio Stoke

The first half has been a bit of a disappointment. Darren Moore will need half time to rattle up some of his players.

They've been out-battled, outrun, they need to do better.

The players on the pitch have to adapt, we've given control to a team that are at the bottom of League Two.

We need to get closer to the opposition.

  20. As it stands in League Onepublished at 15:59 British Summer Time 18 April

The League One table at half-time in the 15:00 kick-offs on 18 AprilImage source, PA Media

Plenty of movement in the League One table in that first half.

Wycombe are up into the second automatic promotion spot above Wrexham, who trail at home to Bristol Rovers.

The Gas are out of the relegation zone and above Burton Albion, while Bolton have gone above Leyton Orient with the O's 2-0 down against Barnsley.

Both Stockport and Charlton will secure a play-off spot if results stay as they are.
