Man City are in total control here and keeping Villarreal at arms length.

Victory here will end City's long run without an away win in the Champions League, last triumphing over a year ago at Slovan Bratislava.

A lot of people say Jose Mourinho is past it. I’m sure given the right squad he would win the Champions League again (and domestic leagues too). Shame his last few jobs have been for teams lesser than his earlier career.

    Bayer Leverkusen 2-5 PSG

A pretty drab affair in Germany. Only joking...

Two more goals in the opening nine minutes of the second half. After Nuno Mendes made it 5-1 to the visitors, Aleix García got his second for Bayer Leverkusen.

Remember, both teams are down to 10.

That delivery is wonderful. It was absolutely begging for someone to get there head onto it. So many times we have seen Gabriel do it, and he's done it again!

It was such a teasing and inviting ball. Very, very hard to defend. Arsenal have the breakthrough goal.

Another excellent delivery from Declan Rice for that goal. Gabriel just had to get a touch to make sure it went in.

    Newcastle 1-0 Benfica

    Jacob Murphy deserves a goal.

Three attempts, two on target, one assist.

The player of the match award is done and dusted, and we've not even played an hour.

  11. PSV extend leadpublished at 21:15 BST 21 October

    PSV 3-1 Napoli

PSV extend their lead against Napoli.

Mauro Junior does well to stay onside and keep the ball in play and he cuts it back for Dennis Man, who bundles home to give the hosts a two-goal cushion.

    The breakthrough!

It is a set-piece that does it as Declan Rice curls a great free-kick into the box and Gabriel ghosts through the defence to power home a header.

Gabriel is quick to acknowledge the delivery from Rice as he celebrates. It really was a great ball.

  13. CLOSE!published at 21:13 BST 21 October

    Arsenal 0-0 Atletico Madrid

Another chance for Arsenal as Viktor Gyokeres sticks out a boot to prod a shot at goal, but Jan Oblak makes himself big to make the save.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:13 BST 21 October

    Villarreal 0-2 Man City

It looks like Nico Gonzalez is going to come off and he doesn't look too comfortable as he hobbles off with a grimace on his face.

    Mateo Kovacic replaces him.

    Villarreal 0-2 Man City

Well Manchester City do not need this. Nico Gonzalez is down and in need of some treatment.

City are already without Rodri. Another holding midfielder on the injury list would not bode well.

A big chance for Lewis Miley but the teenager heads over the bar from close range.

  19. Postpublished at 21:11 BST 21 October

    Newcastle 1-0 Benfica

We haven't seen too much from Nick Woltemade but the big German's low attempt is deflected behind for a corner. Woltemade responds by gesturing to the crowd to raise the volume. Can it get any louder inside St James' Park?
