    Bayer Leverkusen 1-3 PSG

Fireworks have come early in Germany.

After holders Paris St-Germain took an early lead through Willian Pacho, Bayer Leverkusen were reduced to 10 men when captain Robert Andrich was sent off.

Minutes later PSG were also reduced to 10 when Illia Zabarnyi was red carded before Aleix García equalised for the hosts.

But PSG restored their advantage through Desire Doue, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has just made it 3-1.

Newcastle look a much better team with Murphy in it. He has his weaknesses but he creates chances and puts in the hard yards!

    Numbers galore for Manchester City.

Villarreal are trying to double up to help, but as soon as they do they leave space elsewhere.

Bernardo Silva floats into the area and powers a really nice header.

Pep Guardiola has asked for his wingers and midfielders to get on the scoresheet, captain Bernardo Silva has answered the call.

City in a very comfortable position now and the home supporters are getting rather irate.

It's going to be a long night for their team.

  13. PSV turn things around before breakpublished at 20:42 BST 21 October

    PSV 2-1 Napoli

    Oh hello.

PSV completely turn things around in a matter of minutes. A brilliant counter attack from the hosts and Ismael Saibari chips it over Vanja Milinkovic-Savic's head.

The goal was scrutinised by VAR for a couple of minutes because of a possible foul in the build up but it stands and the hosts come from a goal down to take the lead.

  16. goal

GOAL - Villarreal 0-2 Man Citypublished at 20:40 BST 21 October

    Bernardo Silva (40 mins)

A goal for a player that isn't Erling Haaland!

Poor defending from Villarreal and Savinho bides his time before delivering a neat cross into the box and it's a really good header from the captain Bernardo Silva.

A word about Jacob Murphy. He's been here, there and everywhere.

That was a lovely assist for Anthony Gordon's goal.

    His stats so far tonight:

22 touches, 14 passes, two attempts, one on target, one assist.

And we're not even at half-time.

Great pressure from Zubimendi, feeds Saka on that right hand side again. I think Martinelli is just offside, but that's where the goal is going to come from.
