    Club Brugge 2-1 Barcelona

Thomas Tuchel names his latest England squad on Friday.

Will Marcus Rashford be in it?

He's been busy out on the wing in this game but has yet to test Nordin Jackers on what is turning out to be a frustrating night in Belgium for his team.

Fermín Lopez and Jules Kounde have both struck the woodwork. However, Barca still trail.

Good to see another player score apart from Haaland score for Manchester City. That was a classic Phil Foden goal.

    Sulaimon Adelekan

Business as usual seven minutes later, though.

You could just see Erling Haaland make that move towards the ball a split second before the defenders.

There was only one outcome from there.

Absolutely clinical. Brutal finishing from the Norwegian.

    Man City 2-0 Borussia Dortmund

    City lock in.

Jeremy Doku with the stop and flick - Erling Haaland coming from the back post, left footed sweeps it in.

He doesn't miss those. Another goal for Haaland...

  5. CLOSE!published at 20:30 GMT

    Newcastle 1-0 Athletic Club

First chance for Nick Woltemade and he should be burying that.

He gets early and connects well with the header from Harvey Barnes' cross but it drifts wide.

  6. goal

GOAL - Man City 2-0 Borussia Dortmundpublished at 20:29 GMT

    Erling Haaland (29 mins)

    Another one for the tally.

Jeremy Doku fends off Julian Ryerson and cuts it back for Erling Haaland who absolutely smashes it into the back of the net.

That's 18 goals for Manchester City across all competitions this season. Robot. Although no sign of the celebration this time, instead it's a muted one in respect of his former club.

    Man City 1-0 Borussia Dortmund

Good save from Gregor Kobel to deny Nico O'Reilly.

Erling Haaland picks up the ball on the half turn and holds off three players to shift across to O'Reilly but the youngster is off balance and his shot is tipped over the bar by the visiting keeper.

Good game, this. Both sides are having a real go. It's exactly what you want to see in the Champions League.

Newcastle are very intriguing. Very much still a settling transition period in my view but once they are click a pretty decent prospect. Just need to get a good few performances mixed in with grinding out performances and moving on from any negatives.

    Ceiron

Brilliant header from big Dan Burn but Newcastle just keep giving the ball away. Getting used to this sloppiness which has cost them this season.

Just to further tell you how good that Dan Burn header was...

Newcastle have an xG of just 0.03 despite being 1-0 up.

Phil Foden waits in that little area - in that number 10 position.

Dortmund have got to go tighter. He checks his shoulder and this time he doesn't go for power, he curls it with great accuracy.

    Exquisite.

Borussia Dortmund defenders decided to stand off Phil Foden.

    It proved critical.

What a delightful finish from the Englishman. Third time lucky after a couple of sighters.

    Club Brugge 2-1 Barcelona

It's astonishing that five-time European champions Barcelona have not won the Champions League since 2014-15.

They've already lost at home to Paris St-Germain this season. Are they going to suffer a second defeat?

Again, Anthony Gordon gives the ball away in his own half. Eddie Howe must be tearing his hair out at the number of times his side have been careless.

GOAL - Man City 1-0 Borussia Dortmundpublished at 20:22 GMT

    Phil Foden (22 mins)

That's a lovely goal from a player that is not Erling Haaland.

Tijjani Reijnders sets up Phil Foden to take the ball on the half turn and pass it into the bottom corner.

A brilliant finish from Foden and he heads straight over to the home supporters in the crowd to celebrate. I think one lucky chap even got a selfie?

Savinho gets away down the right-hand side at pace, he drifts into the box and squares across looking for Erling Haaland but there's an important block from Julian Ryerson.

One of the best headers I've ever seen, didn't know you could generate that much curl!!

  20. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:20 GMT

    Newcastle 1-0 Athletic Club

Athletic Club are given a corner that isn't a corner. It's cleared to Adama Boiro just outside the box and he lashes it first time off the post.

Would have been an unbelievable goal.
