    FT: Brighton 3-2 West Ham

Speaking of the WSL table, Brighton have guaranteed they will finish the weekend in the top three with that victory over West Ham earlier.

Their superb season under Dario Vidosic continues.

  2. 'Tottenham stuck between high press and low block'published at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November

    Steph Houghton
Former Manchester City and England captain on BBC One

Tottenham are getting stuck between high pressing and being in a low block. If you are defending you need to choose which areas you want to take control of, if the opponent is out wide then you have to be so compact in the middle.

They are allowing Arsenal to get their best players on the ball and play through them, they are playing to Arsenal's strengths. Going the other way there is no one trying to make something happen.

  3. 'Tottenham lacking legs and indecisive'published at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November

    HT: Tottenham 0-2 Arsenal

    Fara Williams
Former England midfielder on BBC One

There is a real passiveness from the Tottenham players in defence. They don't look to get in those one v one situations and be aggressive. They are lacking a bit of legs in midfield so they can't get out and press and they seem indecisive as to when to break and go to press.

A reminder that this evening we will have live text coverage of the top two meeting in the WSL when Chelsea host leaders Manchester City.

Currently Arsenal are getting to four points of top spot with this result, and will be boosted by at least one of their title rivals dropping points tonight.

  5. 'Spurs did not defend together'published at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November

    HT: Tottenham 0-2 Arsenal

    Fara Williams
Former England midfielder on BBC One

It was only a week ago that Spurs conceded within 30 seconds at Man City. We heard the manager speaking before the game that they did not want the same start this week but that is what they have gone and done, and in the same manner. They did not defend correctly and did not defend together. It was disjointed.

    HT: Spurs 0-2 Arsenal

Arsenal dominated the first half - but would only be one goal ahead had Bethany England found the top corner from 22 yards.

Only a terrific stop from Daphne van Domselaar prevented that.

  7. 'Tottenham need to go in and regroup'published at 14:39 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC One

It wasn't the best start for Tottenham, falling 1-0 down so early. They have looked promising at times when they have been able to go and press. It is important that they go in now, regroup and look to have a better second half.

Interest isn't 'waning' [see 14.23]. Spurs don't have the fan base to fill such a big stadium and only gave Arsenal 3,000 away tickets!

    HT: Tottenham 0-2 Arsenal

Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC One

Renee Slegers brings that stability to Arsenal at the moment. When you are making an appointment of Head Coach at a club as big as Arsenal it has to be the right one. It can't be the rushed or the wrong decision. Whether Slegers takes the role, she can do it, it is just whether the club feel like it is the right time for her.

    Tottenham 0-2 Arsenal

The corner is cleared to Amanda Nilden on the edge of the Arsenal box - and it's a proper centre-back's finish. High, wide, and not handsome.

That's the final action of a near perfect first half for Arsenal.

Arsenal have a free kick 30 yards out after Hayley Raso trips Emily Fox.

The 3,000 away fans anticipate a third goal as we enter two minutes of added time.

However Katie McCabe wastes the set piece opportunity, as the ball once again is safely into Becky Spencer's midriff.

    Tottenham 0-2 Arsenal

Coming up to half time Tottenham will want to make sure that this doesn't go to 3-0. If they can it will be good for them to pull a goal back as that would completely change the perspective of the half time team talk.

It has been that kind of half for Spurs.

Arsenal get a free kick right on the edge of the Spurs box as a cross strikes the raised arm of Becky Spence.
