The Spurs defence backs off and off, allowing Arsenal to play through the lines with ease. Frida Maanum breaks from deep, gets a return pass and looks up 15 yards from goal to see she has around three yards of space.
Maanum takes full advantage to plant her shot in the bottom left corner past the furious Spurs keeper Becky Spencer. Far too easy.

I was at the Spurs-Arsenal meeting at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last season. Arsenal should have been out of sight by half time, but Spurs rode their luck and took their chances.
Arsenal have changed the tone today with that early goal, although Spurs have steadied the ship somewhat. As long as it remains 1-0, they will consider themselves firmly in this game.

It's games like this WSL NLD that make me wonder about club owners and their strategies. There's a lot of empty seats, and Arsenal sold out their allocation - why not sell more to Arsenal fans, and Spurs would have made more money?
