West Ham boss Rehanne Skinner was in a buoyant mood in her pre-match press conference as the Hammers look to record back-to-back WSL victories.

"The win has given us a boost in terms of our capabilities on the ball. You want to try and go on a bit of a roll and keep the momentum going," she said.

"The confidence on the ball we had against Leicester was really good and the players' confidence from that was great, understandably. I think we also created a lot of chances, which was a real plus.

"Personnel wise, they've [Brighton] got some top players in their squad and in the transfer window I thought they did a great job. Those players have settled in nicely into their style of play. They’re moving the ball really well and they’re creating problems for people.

"The game will be difficult, but that's not something that's new to us. Every game's difficult in this league. It’s not necessarily about Brighton, it’s every week we turn up and we know it doesn’t matter who we’re playing, it’s going to be a really tough game.

"All we can do is control ourselves and do what we can with what we're trying to achieve, and hope that creates problems for Brighton as well, given the form we’ve been in has been really positive."

Brighton boss Dario Vidosic said Brighton won't be "doom and gloom" after their 5-0 defeat by Arsenal and is backing his team to bounce back against West Ham on Saturday.

Albion conceded more goals against the Gunners on Friday than in the rest of their Women's Super League games combined this season, but Vidosic is confident he can get a response from his players.

"It’s a good lesson," he said. "We are still happy, we are still third so we can’t get too down on ourselves.

"We can’t take Friday night and be doom and gloom. There were positives and stuff we can easily fix that we just got a little bit wrong.

"There is always work to be done. It’s never perfect. We always chase perfection but the beauty of that is you will never catch it. We want to improve all the time.

On another game at the Amex Stadium, he added: "We want to be on the big stages. We encourage all our fans to come out and support us."

  7. Team news - Two changes for Brighton, Smith starts for Hammerspublished at 11:50 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November

Brighton v West Ham (12:30 GMT)

Brighton boss Dario Vidosic makes two changes to the side who were beaten 5-0 against Arsenal last Friday.

Defender Maria Thorisdottir misses out with a calf issue while the club are waiting on scan results from forward Aisha Masaka after she was taken off on a stretcher with a shoulder against the Gunners.

Marisa Olislagers and Rachel McLauchlan come into defence, replacing Thorisdottir and Jorelyn Carabali who drops out of the squad.

Pauline Bremer and Jelena Cankovic are both back in the squad and on the bench after returning from injury.

Brighton XI: Baggaley, Olislagers, Bergsvand, McLauchlan, Haley, Losada, Symonds, Pattinson, Kirby, Parris, Seike.

Subs: Bremer, Cankovic, Rayner, Bruna, Poulter, Loeck, Agyemang, Balmer, Johnson.

There is just one alteration to the West Ham side who won their first WSL match 1-0 against Leicester last weekend.

Li Mengwen is on loan from Brighton and ineligible to play for her parent club so Kirsty Smith makes her first start of the season to replace her.

West Ham XI: Szemik, Smith, Tysiak, Zadorsky, Denton, Gorry, Pavi, Siren, Asseyi, Ueki, Piubel.

Subs: Walsh, Bergman Lundin, Brynjarsdottir, Harries, Cooke, Saez, Houssein, Walsh, Doe.
