    Wigan 0-0 Leyton Orient

This game has suddenly kicked into life with the biggest chance and unmissable first yellow card of the match.

Dom Ball gets the first booking of the match, but only just after a massive chance for Orient team-mate Ollie O'Neill that is well thwarted by one of the best 'keepers in the league - Sam Tickle.

Sonny Perkin did well to play O'Neill in for that one-on-one.

We have a delay now as former Exeter City man Dion Rankin gets some treatment after Ball's challenge.

He will not continue, Jonny Smith comes on for the hosts.

  2. CLOSE!published at 13:04 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Lincoln 0-0 Charlton

    Charlton are applying some pressure.

A short corner is worked well and recycled before finding Karoy Anderson; he sees a shot deflected wide before another reaches Greg Docherty in a similar position, but he shoots over.

  3. Postpublished at 13:02 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Wigan 0-0 Leyton Orient

Claims for a penalty or free-kick from Orient are waved away by the referee.

Dan Agyei's cross seems to strike a Wigan arm just outside the 18-yard box, but not enough in it.

  4. A golden opportunity for Vale...published at 13:00 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Port Vale 0-0 Walsall

    Andrew Dawkins
    BBC Radio WM commentator

That was a golden opportunity from Rico Richard, he wouldn't have known it was offside and he should of done a lot better.

It was the first time Port Vale have really carved the Saddlers open. However, it has been a really happy hunting ground for Walsall here in recent history.

  5. Postpublished at 12:59 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Crewe 0-0 Bradford

It's hard to describe just how windy it is at Crewe.

City keeper Sam Walker is getting pelters from the home fans for taking too long over a restart, but the ball keeps blowing off his mark for him to retrieve and re-spot it.

Referee Matt Corlett is in an understanding mood.

This is definitely a day to try to keep it on the deck...

  6. CLOSE!published at 12:55 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Port Vale 0-0 Walsall

Vale should be ahead, a slick move sees Ronan Curtis play a delightful flick through for Rico Richards who runs into the area and opens up his body but can only bend his effort past Tommy Simkin's far post, with the goal at his mercy.

Heads in hands from Richards' team-mates.

    Lincoln 0-0 Charlton

At the other end, Tyreece Campbell finds space on the right of the area for Charlton but slices well wide.

  8. Postpublished at 12:54 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Crewe 0-0 Bradford

Bradford have had the better of the past 10 minutes but haven't really opened the hosts up...

Alex Pattison's volley after Mickey Demetriou's header held up in the wind was blocked by Harry Williams eight yards out, possibly with an arm infront of his face, but City's appeals for a penalty are waved away... it was point-blank range in fairness.

  9. CLOSE!published at 12:52 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Lincoln 0-0 Charlton

Maynard-Brewer denies Moylan from the left again. He didn't generate the power he'd have liked, but there is a lot to like about Lincoln's inter-play so far.

    Perhaps a goal is coming.

  10. Postpublished at 12:50 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Wigan 0-0 Leyton Orient

First corner of this match goes to Wigan.

Orient's Dom Ball makes an important block to deny Steven Sessegnon's effort from the edge of the area.

All sorts of activity in the six-yard box, the referee gets involved, then the ball will not stay put in the corner segment, but eventually it is taken straight into the goalkeeper's gloves.

  11. Postpublished at 12:48 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Wigan 0-0 Leyton Orient

Leyton Orient threaten down the other end as Sonny Perkins almost meets Jayden Sweeney's cross at the far post - that's arguably the away side's best opportunity.

The much talked about wind seems to be causing more harm to the corner flags than the standard of football on display so far, it has been decent stuff from both, the past 10 minutes especially.

  12. Postpublished at 12:48 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Port Vale 0-0 Walsall

Jesse Debrah showcases his long-throw skills for the hosts. The conditions mean anything in the air in the box is causing havoc already.

Port Vale are the best side in League Two at goals from set-pieces, will it play into their hands.

The 2,500-odd Saddlers fans behind the goal will hope not...

  13. 'Walsall will have to be aggressive'published at 12:47 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Port Vale 0-0 Walsall

    Paul Joannou
Walsall summariser on BBC Radio WM

It is a high-intensity game, and at times Walsall will have to be aggressive and win the ball back.

Especially in League Two, you have to make sure you apply the pressure and try and nick a goal early on.

You have to put your bodies on the line, it is what you have to do in this league.

  14. Postpublished at 12:46 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Lincoln 0-0 Charlton

Charlton have scored just three goals in the first half of games this season and they've not won from behind.

That should give Lincoln a lot of motivation and they are creating more but are yet to really test to the Charlton defence.

  15. Postpublished at 12:44 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Wigan 0-0 Leyton Orient

A second time for Wigan inside the Orient box inside two minutes, a small purple patch for the side in blue and white.

It comes to nothing, but Wigan are getting on top now.

  16. Postpublished at 12:43 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Wigan 0-0 Leyton Orient

Wigan have their first attack after 11 minutes.

A flowing move down the right sees a lovely through ball from Dale Taylor between the lines to Dion Rankine, he pulls it back for Scott Smith just outside the area, but his strike flies harmlessly over.

  17. CLOSE!published at 12:42 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Crewe 0-0 Bradford

    How have Crewe not scored?

An almighty scramble in the box sees Shilow Tracey and Max Conway unable to get the ball through a crowd in the six-yard box for the hosts while Will Lankester's final attempt, a hooked effort from two yards out, deflects past the post off a defender.

  18. Postpublished at 12:40 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Lincoln 0-0 Charlton

There is quite a lot of wind swirling around the LNER Stadium, which may not be a shock to you.

Clearances aren't getting much distance and Lincoln are doing well with firm passes on the ground.

  19. CLOSE!published at 12:39 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Port Vale 0-0 Walsall

Walsall's Harry Williams has tried his best to launch a series of long throws into the Vale box from the left flank, but Mother Nature has helped the hosts clear their lines.

Up the other end and the recalled Rekeem Harper, back from suspension, fizzes a low drive wide of the post from 25-yards.

  20. Postpublished at 12:39 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Wigan 0-0 Leyton Orient

First opportunity goes to the away side.

A free-kick comes in from the right from Tom James and is only half cleared by Sam Tickle.

In the next phase of play, Dan Agyei looks to be through, but Jason Kerr (not the Somerset Cricket coach but the Latics defender) uses his body well to allow the ball to run through to the home stopper.
