  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:03 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Lincoln 0-0 Charlton

Nathan Jones is sensing something here. More changes, but not more goalmouth action to report. Sorry!

Thierry Small replaces Josh Edwards, while Allan Campbell is on for Karoy Anderson.

Freddie Draper is coming off for Lincoln, replaced by Bailey Cadamarteri.

  2. CLOSE!published at 14:02 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Port Vale 0-1 Walsall

Vale's Tom Sang fizzes in a low shot from at least 25 yards out which somehow skids through the area, evading a couple of Vale players and just beyond Jayden Stockley at the far post.

The ensuing corner is looped over the bar by a Vale head as they bundled to try and meet it.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:01 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Wigan 0-1 Leyton Orient

First away sub of the day.

The lively Sonny Perkins off, Ethan Galbraith on.

  4. CLOSE!published at 14:00 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Crewe 1-1 Bradford

A glimpse of goal for the home side as Ryan Cooney's swirling cross from the right drops to Zac Williams beyond the far post.

He takes a tough and larrups a volley goalward, only to slice it behind the near post, coming back off the post holding the back of the net up.

  5. Postpublished at 14:00 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Wigan 0-1 Leyton Orient

Another post about a corner, and this post is about Wigan winning another corner from the aforementioned corner!

Both are great deliveries in, one headed behind by a home defender, the second resulting in a goal-kick.

    Inside the final quarter now.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:58 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Port Vale 0-1 Walsall

Another for the hosts... Ryan Croasdale heads off with George Byers coming on for Vale for the first time since October. The home fans will love to have their No7 back.

  7. Walsall not giving 'Vale time to breath'published at 13:58 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Port Vale 0-1 Walsall

    Paul Joannou
Walsall summariser on BBC Radio WM

The Saddlers have not given Vale any time to breath.

Walsall are playing so high up the pitch, which is where they want to be and will find a lot of joy.

Also, Vale have had barely any possession in the final third and that is testament to the Saddlers.

  8. Postpublished at 13:56 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Wigan 0-1 Leyton Orient

This game is gathering pace like wind across the British Isles.

Callum McManaman has made a difference since coming on, Wigan dominating possession now as they come inches away from winning another corner.

This suits me to input my favourite statistic found in my research for this game; The O's have conceded the least amount of corner kicks in the league this season. In 17 matches they have conceded 60 corner kicks (the league average is 87.7) at an average of 3.5 per match.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:55 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Crewe 1-1 Bradford

If this was rugby they'd have a kicking tee out.

Bobby Pointon takes a corner from the Bradford right, despite being battered by the corner flag and the ball rolling as he struck it... the gust ended up taking the ball from the penalty spot to landing on the roof of Filip Marschall's net.

Jack Powell is off the bench for Crewe, replacing Omar Bogle who has been a central figure in this game, scoring the Crewe goal and being involved in the red card incident too.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:54 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Lincoln 0-0 Charlton

    Now two changes for Charlton.

Daniel Kanu and and Gassan Ahadme are off, Miles Leaburn and Matty Godden are on.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 13:52 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Port Vale 0-1 Walsall

Darren Moore has seen enough and has made a double change.

Jayden Stockley and Ruari Paton are on for Ethan Chislett and Brandon Cover.

    Going for it...

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:52 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Lincoln 0-0 Charlton

First change of the day for Lincoln.

    Dom Jefferies replaces Erik Ring.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 13:51 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Port Vale 0-1 Walsall

Connor Ripley has kept Vale in it, flying off his line to block a low shot from Nathan Lowe who had been found neatly by David Okagbue after a run down the flank.

Walsall trying to finish this off... and register a SIXTH straight win at Vale Park. Incredible.

  14. Postpublished at 13:50 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Wigan 0-1 Leyton Orient

The Latics exerting some pressure now.

Brilliant defending from Orient defender Jordan Brown, sliding and blocking a shot after Dale Taylor cut inside.

  15. Postpublished at 13:49 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Wigan 0-1 Leyton Orient

A corner for Orient is completely wasted after all the struggles and the efforts to get the ball still in the corner segment again.

Again it was Dan Agyei, yes I have typed that same name again, who was the forward threat for the Orient, winning that corner through Republic of Ireland U21 international Ollie O'Neill.

  16. 'Walsall have come out fighting'published at 13:46 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Port Vale 0-1 Walsall

Jamille Matt opens the scoring for Walsall against Port ValeImage source, Rex Features

Jamille Matt is Walsall's number nine, that is what he does!

In terms of ending the first half well - Walsall have come out fighting this second-half and in weather conditions such as this, and away from home, getting the first goal is crucial.

  17. RED CARD Alex Pattison (Bradford)published at 13:45 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Crewe 1-1 Bradford

    Life comes at you fast...

Alex Pattison has just got his side on level terms but now he's had his marching orders. Richard Smallwood actually commits the foul in midfield on Omar Bogle, which earns him a yellow, but Pattison thunders the ball into Bogle on the ground and that's violent conduct according to ref Matt Corlett, who gets his red card out.

The fracas afterwards also sees Zac Williams booked and Bantams boss Graham Alexander has also had a yellow card.

150 seconds from equaliser to red card.

  18. goal

GOAL Crewe 1-1 Bradfordpublished at 13:43 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Alex Pattison (55 mins)

    Bantams back on level terms...

Jay Benn does well to beat Zac Williams down the right and dashes to the byline to pull back a low cross which is allowed to run into the path of the onrushing Alex Pattison whose low shot flicks off a defender to wrong-foot Filip Marschall and find the back of the net.

    They deserve it too...

  19. Postpublished at 13:41 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Lincoln 0-0 Charlton

The wind is playing havoc when the ball is in the air as George Wickens just found out.

The Lincoln keeper misjudged a cross and had to be bailed out by his defence.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:40 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Wigan 0-1 Leyton Orient

Early yellow card for the substitute Callum McManaman, who had barely been on the pitch for two minutes before entering the referees notebook.

A poorly timed tackle, he could have no arguments with that decision.
