    It's been coming...

Stephen Humphrys has been involved in most things for Barnsley and he has managed to bustle past Ben Davies before firing in an angled shot which beat Ryan Allsop before going onto the net off Paik Seung-Ho on the line.

    Birmingham have work to do.

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:21 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Wycombe 1-1 Reading

Joel Pereira in the thick of the action, the Reading keeper has now kept his side on level terms with a big, sprawling save to thwart Daniel Udoh when he was clean through, allowing Tyler Bindon to clear the danger.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:19 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Wycombe 1-1 Reading

It's the Chairboys who have begun the second half the brighter but Daniel Udo was just unable to get the decisive touch to Aaron Morley's low cross into the box, diverting just past the base of the post.

Royals keeper Joel Pereira has gone into the book for time wasting... not even an hour gone.

  5. 'A testing period for Blues'published at 16:18 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Barnsley 0-0 Birmingham

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

The ball just stops in the air from the wind, again. This is a different type of football we are seeing here today.

This has the feel of a testing period for Blues here with Barnsley pushing them. Both teams are playing for the conditions and just looking for errors.

  6. League One latestpublished at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

The Tykes spurned 30 shots in a 0-0 draw against Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup seven days ago, before losing on penalties... they also missed several at Wrexham in a last-gasp 1-0 defeat at Wrexham on Tuesday. They need to start taking them...

  9. It's a windy old affairpublished at 16:15 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Wycombe 1-1 Reading

    Dan George
    BBC Sport at Adams Park

The wind continues to play a part in this game at Adams Park.

All of Wycombe keeper Franco Ravizzoli's clearances or goal-kicks end up making it to the halfway line and then just stopping in mid-air in the wind.

The Chairboys on top at the moment, applying pressure on the Reading defence.

  18. 'Barnsley are on top, Blues can't get any possession'published at 15:59 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    HT: Barnsley 0-0 Birmingham

    Darren Carter
Ex-Birmingham midfielder on BBC Radio WM

A Birmingham fan sings with his arms outstretched at OakwellImage source, Rex Features

Blues haven't been able to get any sort of possession to go and hurt Barnsley or go and work themselves up the pitch.

I do believe there is going to be spaces for them in behind and especially if they can play the balls into the channels in and around the Barnsley back three, there can be opportunities for them there.

All in all the territory and the 50/50's you would say Barnsley are on top albeit them only having one shot on goal.

  19. League Two at half-timepublished at 15:58 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    #bbcefl

Chesterfield made it 2-0 just before the break at home to the lowest scorers in the EFL - Tranmere Rovers.

Armando Dobra's goal means the away side will need to make it a mere 14 goals scored this season to get any points out of this one.

Two quickfire early goals see Accrington 1-1 Bromley in their first ever league meeting.

Swindon could rise out of the bottom two if they can hold onto their 2-0 lead at home to Fleetwood.

Two goals from Justin Obikwu have Grimsby 2-0 up at Morecambe.

AFC Wimbledon also have the same 2-0 advantage at Harrogate.

Gillingham are still 0-0 with their table neighbours Salford.

  20. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Barnsley 0-0 Birmingham

Plenty of industry but nothing really in the way of clear cut chances for either side.

The early loss of Alex Cochrane on a stretcher for Blues might be the most significant moment thus far.
