What an end to the first-half as Barnsley's Luca Connell has two efforts on goal - the first is saved by Corey Addai and the rebound is flashed wide.

The hosts lead at the break through top goalscorer Adam Phillips' early penalty.

Davis Keillor-Dunn was brought down in the box by Tyler Onyango and Phillips sent the goalkeeper the wrong way.

Stockport have rallied since going behind and could have been level with those late chances for Louie Barry and Kyle Wootton.

A great double save.

The fist bump afterwards showed what it meant to him, it shows he cares.

What a double save by Gaga Slonina. Stockport break through and Louie Barry is one-on-one but Slonina makes a great stop.

Kyle Wootton hits the follow up from outside of the area and Slonina blocks again.

We've had a few stoppages for injuries in this first-half and there will be four minutes added on.

Can either side snatch a goal before half-time?

Louie Barry cuts inside from the left for Stockport before feeding a ball out to Ibou Touray but it's underhit and the move breaks down.

That's been the story of the half for County, really. They can't quite make that decisive final pass to create an opening.

Barnsley will be keen to get into half-time with a 1-0 lead.

Tonight is their first home game for three weeks. They've only managed one victory at Oakwell in League One so far this season though.

Barry Cotter finds a yard of space on the edge of the box for Barnsley and hits an effort goalwards but it's rather tame and the keeper collects comfortably.

Stockport are just starting to cause a problem or two for the Barnsley backline.

They come forward and a ball is crossed in but the Tykes make a bit of a meal of it before eventually clearing away.

Barnsley gift possession to Stockport in a dangerous area out on the left flank and the ball is whipped in.

Kyle Wootton attempts the header but misses it and it hits Tanto Olaofe who can't really react in time.

Fortunately for Barnsley keeper Gaga Slonina, it flies straight at him. A slight opening for the visitors, there.

Lewis Bate threads a nice pass through the midfield to Stockport's Louie Barry who hits an ambitious effort from a long way out - but he slips and it goes well, well wide. Worth an effort...

Both sets of players come together for a quick teamtalk on the sidelines while Barnsley keeper Gaga Slonina receives treatment for a niggle.

It was a great start for us, it was a gift, very rash by the defender.

It's a lovely evening for football, a bit of zip off the turf, certainly a very bright start for Barnsley, one they will want to continue.

If you can keep clean sheets, you have a chance of winning games.

Stockport have seen plenty of the ball since going behind - 71% of possession in the last 15 minutes in-fact.

But they're yet to trouble Gaga Slonina in the Barnsley goal with just two shots so far.

There's a brief break in play here as Barnsley's Marc Roberts goes down with a head injury.

He's taken off for treatment but it looks like he will be okay to carry on.

Another booking and this time it's for Stockport full-back Tyler Onyango who hauls Stephen Humphrys to the ground in almost identical fashion to what Mael de Gevigney did just moments ago.

And now Barnsley defender Mael de Gevigney is into the book after pulling back Louie Barry as Stockport try to break forward.

Mael de Gevigney does well to recover after a ball over the top of the Barnsley backline and brings the ball away but he's brought down by Stockport's Tanto Olaofe.

A lively start here at Oakwell.

More pressure from Barnsley as they launch a long throw into the box. Corey O'Keeffe's shot is blocked before Luca Connell has another effort deflected behind for a corner.

Fraser Horsfall is up with a proper centre-back's header to clear.

Stockport make their first venture forward and it's good footwork by Kyle Wooton to work an opening but his shot is well blocked.
