Spurs were caught out with the ball sticking on the surface. It's that man Enoru causing problems again down the left.

    Tamworth 0-0 Tottenham

Tamworth are not afraid to send men forwards here. A sweeping attack and the ball is played across to Tom McGlinchey, whose shot flies off the heel of Archie Gray and behind for a corner.

Antonin Kinsky makes a good claim from the set piece.

  3. CLOSE!published at 12:52 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January

    Tamworth 0-0 Tottenham

James Maddison squeezes himself a yard in the Tamworth D, and curls a shot narrowly over Jas Singh's bar.

That's the closest Spurs have come in the opening 17 minutes.

    Hull 0-0 Doncaster

Terrific play by Cody Drameh and Abu Kamara puts Hull clear, but the latter makes a mess of his finish.

Kamara scored twice against Leeds last week, but is lacking a bit of sharpness today.

    Tamworth 0-0 Tottenham

The much-admired Tamworth SnowDome looms over the stadium here, but it's all about football rather than winter sports today.

Beck-Ray Enoru continues to cause the Spurs defence issues, he has another shot blocked.

He didn't look comfortable at all, Antonin Kinsky, he didn't look happy. The next throw-in needs to be exactly the same because he won't be used to this. What a weapon that throw is!

Goodness me, Tonks' throw has flown over everyone and hit the far post!

Antonin Kinsky was fouled, but that is a weapon that will give the Czech keeper problems all afternoon.

Archie Gray clears the ball out of play near his own goal.

    Tom Tonks time...

    Tamworth 0-0 Tottenham

The much feared artificial turf at The Lamb Ground seems to be causing no issues. Spurs are stroking the ball around ok and the surface seems perfectly level.

    Hull 0-0 Doncaster

    Good strike, good save.

A late, late chance at the end of the first half from a Joao Pedro free-kick.

The Hull striker chooses to go for the keeper's side and Teddy Sharman-Lowe beats it away. He then easily collects Harry Vaughn's header on the follow up.

If Spurs can't beat Tamworth, Ange has to go. We need a trophy.

There is just a feeling every time Beck-Ray Enoru gets on the ball - the pace he has got. You get the sense that he is the go-to guy and there is a lot of expectation on his shoulders today.

Beck-Ray Enoru is a man of many talents. Fixing the goal net so the game can start one minute, then testing Spurs keeper Antonin Kinsky the next. That's what you call multi-tasking.

I understand the benefits of artificial turf for non-league teams, but I do miss watching top level footballers playing on a pitch that resembles a ploughed field in the FA Cup third round.

The atmosphere is magnificent and it's what the fans have been waiting for. By 10:30am the stadium had started to fill up because they realise how much of a big occasion this is and they are desperate to get behind this team.
